+ 2 WARNING - Swab fibers in syringe.

ad

Ok,
I subcutaneously injected HCG on Sunday.
That night I noticed swelling and redness.
I thought WTF?
Worse Monday so I stabbed it with a 23G
Squeezed the infection out.
The puss was attached a single fiber.
Too small to be a human hair.
Then I worked it out.
The metal top on my vial still has rough edges from where the cap was broken off.
When I swab the top of the vial, tiny fibers are torn off the swab.
I looked at my vial and sure enough some small fibers were still attached to the sharp bits.
A fiber got into the syringe and I injected it causing the infection.
My suggestion is to make sure their are no sharp bits on your vials.
Lucky it was only subcutaneous not Intramuscular.

Cheers Threshy

If the swab was sterile then I don't see how that could have caused the infection.

Your body rejects it

Just because it's foreign material doesn't mean it would cause an infection. Otherwise we would be getting infections every single time we pin oil, as that is also a foreign substance.

Like crayon said your body rejects the material. Because of this the OP's body formed an abscess, but that doesn't mean there was ever an infection. It would most likely cause a sterile abscess, which would scar and harden over time, but never actually affect the OP's health.

thats why i dont swab my gear it always gets little pieces like that

You're more likely to have a dirty needle from not cleaning the vial than getting fibers in the barrel.
