Steroids and room temperature???

ad

So here is a topic I haven't seen talked about on here yet. I'm wondering if it'll mess up your gear, say if you leave it in the mail box for a day or two cuz you're out of town or if your AC crashes and it's 90 degrees inside your home. Does anyone have experience with your gear crashing from being in warmer or hotter than a "room temperature" climate?

I don't think it would crash since once it's in your body, it's at 97.8 degrees anyway. Can anyone offer some insight based off experience?

Thanks,
E

I'm more worried about orals since they always say to store at room temperature and supposedly degrade at temps over 90.

unless you live in an oven you got nothing to wrry about lol

though I like to put my stuff in a little container. I get those little zipper pouches that holds pencils (yeah gotta be creative as a college student on a budget haha)

that keeps them safe then I put them in a drawer that's in a dark area of my room so theres no sunlight from the window shining on it. Keep the AC on 24/7 and my room never gets above mid 70 degrees and the gear will last a year or longer for tabs and 2-4 years for oils (not that a bottle would last that long with me lol)

Thanks for this post. I was wondering the same thing.

My understanding is that gear crashing is a result of crystallization caused by low temperatures. You have to then heat it up to reverse the process. Basically, I would be a lot more concerned about winter than summer as oils can take the heat.

yea it will be fine if it gets hot since one has to heat up the gear to brew it. The only concern is it being too cold and it could crash

If I have HCG or GH being delivered, I make a point of getting it quickly.

Otherwise, I have no worries. I use my heating pad at least nine times on a single vial, and have never experienced an issue.
