+ 1 Steroids and Androgens
I have sat on my hands for long enough. It's time for me to share the knowledge, hence all the recent posts.
As you know Test is the main male hormone. It's produced in large amounts at puberty and is responsible for facial and body hair, deepening of voice, growth of the male genitals. The naturally produced level or Test peaks at around 18 or 19, and slowly decreases with age from there with age. This is considered one of themain afctors in men becoming weak and frail with age, and androgen replacementis being used more often now as doctors are becoming more aware of the benefits of maintaining high androgen levels.
Test also causes increases in muscular size, aggression, and skin changes (oilier and rougher). If women take test they will possibly experience all the above symptoms. Test is an androgen ( the term androgen means Masculine). An androgen then is something that causes masculinising effects.
Androgens are either test or variations, and these cause masculinising effects some of wich are anabolic. AS were created to mimic the anabolic effects of Testbut with greatly reduced masculinising properties. That was the idea anyway.
The androgens generally would give greater size and strength gains than the less androgenic AS. All AS have some androgenic proprties, some are even more androgenic than Test.
Women be warned, androgens will turn you into a freak quicker than the less androgenic AS will (only be warned if you don't want that lol). If a woman wants to use AS there are a few types of AS AS with low masculinising effects in relation to their 'anabolic' effects.
As far as most men are concerned, most of us AS users want to gain a lot of mass. For this reason we will use a lot of androgens, and in fact a lot of AS. Serious male bodybuilders usually restrict themselves to the less androgenic AS during comp prep, as they want to keep water retension nd bloat to a minimum.

Anonbro...I would like to add that testosterone is either a hormone or a pro-hormone. Most of his effects on skeletal muscle tissue as well as satellite organs are mediated by its features to convert in estrogen and DHT. Androgens play an integral role in the modulation of GH ans igf-1 by the aromatization of testosterone as well as some direct actions of androgens.Their ability to aromatize and thus increase GH and IGF-1 levels is, in my opinion, part of what makes them superior mass and strength drugs compared to nonaromatizable drugs such as methenolone (Primobolan), stanozolol (Winstrol), and oxandrolone (Anavar) among others. Testosterone is partially converted in estrogen through aromatase enzyme. The aromatase enzyme can be found in many tissues including gonads, brain, adipose tissue, blood vessels, skin, bone. Estrogen are useful because they exert many important function in organs where estrogen receptors are presents. Moreover estrogens ehnances in liver cells the increasing of igf-1 in blood stream. In fact the more steroids convert in estrogen the more igf-1 will be released in blood stream. Estrogen needs to be optimized and controlled precisely, not wiped out completely. Moreover 5% of testosterone is converted in dht. DHT stands for dihydrotestosterone. It is a very close chemical cousin of testosterone and has many important functions in the body.DHT is an extremely potent non-aromatizing androgen. It will not aromatize at any dosage whatsoever. For now, and for simplicity sake, lets say that DHT means hardening of the physique, lack of water retention, favorable fat-loss, increased sex drive, and increased strength gain. As you see mother nature works very well. Balance is all. That is why testosterone is converted either in estrogen or in dht. Both are extremely useful for growth and for keeping steady homeostasis in body function. I think that the importance of estrongen and dht coul be matter for another topic.....
Good stuff mate. We will get everyone up to speed soon on the in's and out's brother.
Defcongreat post
