Prolactin - should I be proactive or reactive?
ad
So I'm trying to understand more about prolactin issues that may arise during cycles including tren. Right now I just started a cycle that includes 800mg of test per week and 300 mg of tren. I looked around this site and can't seem to find a good answer on whether you should be proactive and start taking caber or prami at a certain point during cycle or if you should address the issue as it comes up. I've never seemed to hAve a problem in the past and have had pretty normal prolactin levels during cycle. Either way I just wanted to know if I should get some to have on hand or if I hadn't had a problem running higher levels of test and tren in the past if I should be in the clear now. Thanks in advanced guys.

Neither,
focus on controlling estrogen related sides
Prolactin control medications are not joke. Assuming youre running a short ester of a tren (Acetate), I would get prolactin checked a couple weeks into. Sooner if you notice side effects along the lines of ED. Dopamine agonists (caber/pramiprexole/bromocriptine) should be used with caution. You will most likely need one but base your usage and dosage on your blood work.
I've heard of people using dopamine agonists as a means of mood boosting or other "recreational" reasons. This is something I'm very against. Prolactin/dopamine levels play a large role in neurology. Prolonged imbalances of them are liked to serious psychiatric and neurological disorders. They should not be taken lightly.
Well I just read another thread and this article that pretty much supports the idea of keeping estrogen under control with something like arimidex will in turn prevent elevated prolactin
http://mindandmuscle.net/articles/progesterone-and-prolactin/
I always start a low dose of arimidex a few weeks into cycle to keep the estro under control, I've seen posts about this too saying you shouldn't run it unless your bloods need it either but I think running arimidex helps with things like water retention too. It works for me and doesn't crush my estrogen levels at .5mg e3d so why change it now. I feel like an anti Estro should always be ran because when your supplement extrogenous testosterone you're estrogen is always going to sky rocket too, it's science not opinion.
it is not that keeping your estrogen in check automatically keeps prolactin in range. the effects of prolactin are more pronounced if estrogen is higher. so you can have estro in range but still have elevated prolactin that can cause problems. the effects would be worse if your estrogen was elevated too.
Best answer is going to be blood tests. I like to be safe rather than sorry, and from all I have read .25 mg caber twice a week seems safe for a lower end tren run, but everyone is different and again blood tests tell the truth. I rather not wait for a problem especially when it comes to my well being.
But my question is should I just encorpate the caber regardless A few weeks in or should I hold off if bloods remain normal?
Basically what the guys are trying to say is definitely have some on hand but don't take them unless it's absolutely necessary.
Bloodwork will help you decide if you need to use them.
And as already stated these drugs are not to be taken lightly.
One night I took 0.5mg of prami....I was violently sick for hours, fast irregular heartbeat, and a yellow tint on my vision......I honestly thought I was going to drop dead.
Personally I hold off. I'm not a fan of putting all kinds of drugs into my body if I don't need to. Especially caber and the heart problems it can cause. I've never had the leaky nips but tren has messed up my sex drive once or twice and after a week on caber it's all good. I'd rather do that and end up only running it say the last 4 weeks of the cycle then starting it from the very beginning. And I've had cycles where I didn't need it so like I said if I don't have to put a chemical into my body I won't unless necessary.
Your call, wait and get bloods done and see if you even need it. I personally have liked incorporating that small amount of caber into a run when using tren for additonal reasons. Best advice have caber on hand and get bloods done.
