+ 1 Plantar fasciitis
I've been doing some research into gear and a question formed in my head. There was no real answer that I could find, so I bring it here.
I've suffered from plantar fasciitis, on and off, for a few years. What I mean is that I got real heavy - tipped out at about 350, and I could hardly walk. Since then I've been working out for about seven or eight years and dropped over 100 pounds. The whole process has (seemingly) left my hormones out of wack (I have low T, but my doctor balked at testosterone being an option and the clinics around here are out of my price range). After dropping some of the weight my plantar fasciitis went away.
Well, recently I've been running A LOT, going from nothing to about 6-7 miles an outing (2-3 times a week) and my plantar fasciitis came back (probably from overuse, too much too soon). So I've stopped running for a bit (2-3 weeks) and it's gotten a bit better, but it still sucks.
Reading a bit about deca and test I began to wonder, would test help PF? Would Deca? Deca is often said to help with joints and to help build collagen.
Anyone have any experience with this?
It should be noted that if I do decide to hop on a cycle, my first cycle would be test only (keep it simple), so this isn't really a "need answers fast", type question.

Thanks for all the replies!

"Also look into rock tape or kinesotape for your plantar fasciitis."
I've been doing what you suggested, it the first thing I started doing (having had the condition before, I even had the sleeping boot). It's not really helping, ALTHOUGH, my wife did tape up my foot with kinesotape, which I wore for a few days(even in the shower and to bed). It did seem to help a bit.
Just reading up again on some of the sides of deca (specifically deca dick) really puts me off of any future experimentation.... I can hobble around and make due... I can't risk a floppy cock...

Interesting comments on deca/equipose, I was unaware.
I haven't really considered HGH, mainly because it's SO expensive.
I will search for that youtube video.
Interesting mindfuck....
As to running versus cycling, I would do other forms of cardio, but I was running for an event (a bunch of my friends are doing it).
Ironic,,,I'm having similar situations currently.
Almost certain mine is a heel spur.
Deca is good for lubricating the joint
Equipose is good for aiding tendon repair/collagen synthesis types 1-3
Hgh Is good at everything I haven't done as much science research it will take me 5 minutes to read up on exactly what it does via collagen/joints etc but its common knowledge its just plain beastly at repairing fucked up shit>
Adequan is given to horses and dogs when they cant walk... And are to be put down but its not approved for human use. It blocks enzymes that break down the good stuff in between your bones/joints.
I am going to hit a 2-4iu hgh with 550mg eq and a 200 deca (test needs to be below 250mg bone mass/tendon strength reducing issues) This along with adequan which Is fucking hard to get but should be the best advice steroidologically .... Next advice is take a small dumbell and rub your foot on the handle for about 5 mins .... Use a foam roller to release everything from your lats down to your hip flexors front calf side calf quad ham - put a huge foam roller (10$ walmart) under your achielles heal and roll up down calf. Using one limb on anything will increase the pressure ... you need to release the muscles ... The best stretch for those fuckers is to sit on your knees then put the top part in between your ankles on top of the foot into the floor. Extend into the floor stretching that.
I don't know if I can post youtube videos on the process but look up strengthcamp he teaches great exercises/corrective stretching. Search for plantis strengthcamp.
Here is a mind fuck for you though. My low test cycle advice goes against years of broscience yet it reduces tendon weaking ---- And most people don't gain unless there dosing above 400mg on test weekly. (Unless trt) So there is a problem. You complain about joint pain but its your first cycle. So what are you going to do when you dose the typical 500 mg and you start reducing collagen synthesis/weaking tendons while increasing Bone Mass???
Think : Giant Gorilla with tendons of 90 year old man
A lot of people trying to do corrective training find it effective.
People who are interested in aesthetics don't usually care about whats on the inside.
I think of it like your wife vs a prostitute. You don't want to be with a woman because shes empty filled with problems and is unable to do things that a human being should be due to those problems. You want someone you can spend every day happy with and synergies with you. That you can go out with and enjoy there personality vs looks or even ability to give you one thing. (There are some good prostitutes that don't apply)
O yeah think if its running that is causing these problems. Try stairs. Try cycling for real not on a machine.
Get a plastic water bottle and freeze it. You can roll it back and forth on the fascia to stretch it out. You can also use a tennis ball but why not use a frozen bottle to help reduce some of the inflammation too. Also look into a night split that keeps the foot in dorsiflexion while you sleep. Also look into rock tape or kinesotape for your plantar fasciitis. I really think deca would only provide temporary relief while on cycle, look into stretching the fascia and calves more
Thanks for the reply. I've done a lot of different cardio through the years. The reason I've been running recently is because I'm training for an event (I've done various 5ks before, this will be the first time running 10 miles, or would have been). That said, I cut a bunch of weight over a two year period (I might have been a bit confusing in my OP, I haven't been dieting/cutting hardcore for 8 years, just working out that long) and I wanted to keep it off before proceeding. So my weight loss has been a long journey of fits and starts. When I'm in "stasis" I don't allow myself to gain more than 10 pounds over the course of several months. I'm doing this because if I just continue dieting, cardio, etc my energy level/strength and all that go right into the toilet.
I got my body fat tested a while back (beginning of the year) and it was 25% IIRC. I'm thinking about a cycle in the future (maybe late next year?) but I'd want to lose more weight first and prepare myself better. I do think I'll run a cycle in the future (I'm intensely curious about the libido effects). The reason I'm asking about Deca is strictly because of Plantar fasciitis - which could go away, like last time, or it might not. It could get worse (HOPE NOT) as well.
Totally need your complete stats including bf. Not sure? Get yourself some calipers (pretty cheat amazon or eBay)
Next you are gonna want to naturally get that bf down under 20, preferably closer to 10.
I am not familiar with trt, so someone that is May have different advice on where your bf needs to be to start test... But from what I know, if your body fat percent is over 15-20%, sides from test are too hard to control...ie blood pressure, water retention, and man boobs.
Sounds like you lost a grip of weight running and eating right? What other cardios have you tried? There are forms of cardio that are less painful than running 5+ miles... I personally did HIIT 15-20 minutes a day, 3 days a week, then intense ab and core routines the other 3 days ( always one full day completely off) to lose my fat ass. I lost 50 pounds of fat in about a year. It came off fast at first, I went from about 40% down to 20% in under 3 months. The other nine was getting down to <10 and stabilizing there.
But I did it without running. A couple examples of exercises that were included in my HIIT routines are burpees, jump squats, Mtn climbers, jumping jacks.... I found that 20 minutes of high intensity exercises worked better than running and did not hurt my joints.
Anyway, sorry for the long post, really hope I was somewhat help
You can fr me if you are interested in learning more about what I did to get in shape. I got in shape and trained and stayed in shape for three years before I ran my first cycle.
