OUCH!!!!!!

ad

I started a prop cycle on Sunday. On sunday I injected into my rite glutes and its been hurting like a mother fucker ever since. Its swollen bad. But here's the kicker I did a shot on Tuesday in the left glutes and im 100% perfectly fine. So I dont know what's up, could it be because I missed the muscle? I had a similar problem once before when I was a rookie but it was 10x worse then. I was swollen and in pain for a whole month. I didnt want to go to the hospital because I already had a shit ton of hospital bills I couldnt pay, so I wasn't going unless I was dying. I had some corticosteroids laying around the house so I took them a few days and the swelling went down but it came back in a day or two. I had to repeat the process with the corticosteroids steroids 3 times because the swelling came back. Im hoping that this is just something simple as me missing the muscle or something because I do not want to go thru that again. Antone have a y ideas as to what it can be? Iwas already able to rule out it being an infection.

  1. Why do you have corticosteroids laying around your place? What's your medical hx? You mentioned how you were really sick and had a ton of medical bills but are juicing?
  2. Do not take antibiotics if it's just inflammation. Unless your diabetic, you'll know when it's cellulitis trust me. Check to see it it matches the signs and symptoms of an infection: warm, tender, swelling isn't relived with NSAIDs etc

injection technique for sure.... there are so many factors that come into play....

i have a good bit of scar tissue in my glutes from pinning, from time to time I have this issue. I believe its from pinning in the scar tissue. I would also agree with winning that it could be a sterile abscess and corticosteroids will only reduce the inflammatory response but not heal it, if you got or can get some antibiotics I would try a 10 day blast of antibiotics, I have dealt with my fair share of infections all from my own doing from rushing over the years, so i keep them on hand. the best way to know if it is an abscess is to place your hand on the affected area and if its hot and tender to the touch its an abscess most likely, if its only tender its most likely horrid pip from improper pinning. either way if you cant get it corrected quickly it warrants a trip to the ER, it can become more serious than you may be aware of pretty quick. look through the forum we have had a few guys require some serious surgeries due to abscess and infections. dont ignore it or leave it untreated

You prolly nicked a vein or something kiddo, the reason I day that is because obviously the gear isn't bad of you shot it in the other glute with no problem. It's probably your technique! I have a hard time pinning my left gluten because I'm right handed. I dunno though maybe a sterile abcess.?

Probably cellulitis. Probably injected into fat. Or didn't bury the bone far enough into the muscle. Or pulled out too early. Use a 1.5 inch needle. Bury it in the muscle. Don't pull the needle out quickly when finished injecting. Let it sit for a second and then pull it out. Yes you had poor technique on the one. Did better on your other one.

Well dude the truth is your injection technique sucked when you did your right glute...It is funny how many guy's I see asking if it's infected, Bro if you do get an infection you wont need to ask YOU WILL KNOW 4 SURE....just work on your technique and that include injecting in the correct spot Good Luck Pip is usually caused by poor injection technique 75% of the time
