Newbie lookin for tips
ad
Hey guys im new to the forums but ive been looking into steroids as a whole since 18. i gave in to one of my lifting buddies and ending up taking Winstrol 50mg a day for 5 weeks along with my pct. Ever since then i took time off to make sure i knew what i was doing and look more into the sides and how to be as safe as possible. So i was just curious how you guys first decided to go about taking roids and the path up to your first cycle.
Current Stats: im 6'3" ish and around 180lbs. My body type is an Ectomorph and im recently getting back into the gym after taking a month or 2 off so i plan on updating this as soon as i really get back into it.

i didnt really start taking it as seriously as i should have until about 2 years ago. really got the nutrition part of it down as of last year so now im gettin things going...
+1 to nutrition. you've been working out for 6 years and you're only 180. you have to eat more
First off there is great info below. Do what these guys are saying. Second just know your first cycle was bullshit. No one here will EVER advocate an oral only cycle. You WON'T keep your gains. The basis of all cycles is testosterone. When you cycle in a few years, your first cycle should be test only. You have to find out how your body will react to exogenous hormones. For your pct reading delight I suggest this:

Mike linked you to a lot of the other great threads here, but this one is key if you don't want to end up on TRT at age 25. Speaking of TRT, there are lots of acronyms used here, check this thread out to clear some things up:

I hope this helps out. Just remember 2 things, read read read and read some more since knowledge is your best friend, and ACTUALLY wait until your mid 20s to jump on another cycle. Good luck brother.
This site is ridiculously smart.
id say that my nutrition is pretty well off since the last time that i bulked was when i did winny and i was at 4000 calories a day, 500g of carbs about 115g of fats and 250g of protein and it ended up working well until i got sick.
For my workouts when i bulk i tend to stick to 4 sets of 4-6 reps for the core lifts (bench, incline, squats, deadlifts) and ill do 12-15 for auxiliaries so i know that i still need to fine tune everything before i take it again.
I see way too many guys that are like 17-20 that take stuff and lose most of the gains because they have no idea what theyre doing so im trying to make sure i know what im doing
At 6'3" and 180lbs, you have alot of weight that you can pack on naturally yet. Put on as much "natural" weight as possible to build a solid base. That natural muscle that you have will always stay on you whether you are on or off cycle. You are still a young pup and hitting your prime. Being an ecto, it may seem hard to put on muscle, but if you eat right it will happen quickly since your body should be flooded with testosterone at your age. There is no need for you to take any AAS at your age and potentially mess up your HTPA for the rest of your life.
Right now, learning all you can about nutrition and training are the most important things that you can learn about. Once you know how to manipulate your diet for the gains you are looking for and what type of training your body responds best to then it may be more appropriate to be researching more about AAS. You have to actually put those diet principles and weight lifting techniques into practice and experience the results of them first hand. All of this takes time and trial and error. Your cycles are going to be more productive once you actually know how your body responds to food and different training.
If you can't pack any mass on right now naturally, don't think that AAS are going to magically do it for you.
You're never to old to start taking AAS, but you can be to young to take them. I didn't touch any PH's or AAS until after I was 40yrs old. Take your body as far as you can naturally first.
Good comments from thehulk and Mike. Nick you are making the right choice by coming to eroids asking questions. Along with your diet and exercise, you will always want to get lab work, meaning blood drawn, before a cycle, during a cycle, and six weeks after PCT. I am sure you will find this information on this site, but, I wanted to reiterate for piece of mind. Hang in there and keep up the good work!!
Some good advice from cats. I'd listen to every word. I'm new to the forums as well but not new to aas. However my experience is very limited. I've browsed these forums now for a couple weeks or so and these guys, a lot of them anyway, know what they're talking about. Smart move to wait. At your age, you're just starting to hit your prime. Use this time to build your base, get your cardio squared away and fine tune your diet. Good luck bro. My knowledge is limited but I will help you if I can.
Mike1982Start here and I will be here if you need help from there. Education is key brother. Happy reading

A couple links would be great.
All that ive really looked into is Test P/E/C and the basics with pct like clomid and nolva.
Mike1982Hey nick...the best thing (in my opinion only) is to hit the forums on here and gain as much knowledge as possible before even considering aas. You are still very young and if you decide to run a cycle who am I to stop you. I see that you said you wanted to wait until at least 25 before making a final decision and that my friend is very admirable and a great idea. Most of us here wish we had a site like this to educate us more. It's hard for me to suggest a starting point but really, starting anywhere is better than nowhere. I guess start by learning the different hormones and there effect on the body (testosterone, nandrolone, boldenone, etc). Then the esters that attach to them and control release time (propionate, decanoate, enanthatw, etc). Trust me every little detail means something and every hormone and ester affects everyone differently. We are all like snowflakes haha no two people are the same. So if someone tells you to run a certain cycle they've done, it doesn't mean its a good cycle for you. You need to learn your body and gauge what will be best. Which is hard to do considering u need experience with hormones to see how you react to them. Double edged sword my friend. So as your learning about hormones and esters, also start learning about ancillaries such as Clomid, nolvadex, aromasin, etc. Take everything into account before you decide to run a cycle or even a single hormone. All this information can be found in the forums here. If you would like I can provide you some links to get you started and then u can go from there. Educate yourself and sit back and see how things operate on here. This is a community of brothers who's main concern, I would like to believe, is education and safety. And please read the rules before anything else. Oh and when you see the names Viking, Nitti, BodyBuilder, BFG, and any other with the red MOD tag underneath they are here to help but do not I REPEAT lol do not piss them off. Good to have you brother and welcome to the community.
forgot to add but im 20 years old at the moment(waiting until atleast 25 before i make a final decision).
ive been lifting since a freshman in high school at 14, and took my lifting seriously around graduation, so about 2 years of serious lifting.
