-1 Army CDT Failure

ad

Evening gents.

Just a quick one in case any of you are unsure about this. A good friend of mine has just tested positive for Dbol on an Army Compulsory Drugs Test (CDT). Interstingly he did not test positive for the testosterone he was taking. Another lad was caught with Clen in is system. I know there has been debate over what comes up on these tests in the past so I thought I'd share the love.

Did you find out and more info on this buddy I'm shocked to realise how sophisticated the test are now these days. What I'm struggling with is the test wasn't found do you think it may have been a short half life

Fingers03's picture

No. But the general consensus at the time was liver enzymes, as an oral like Dbol would raise these higher than test. Would be interesting to know more though...

Ha thanks for the reply that's very in depth for a run of the mill 6 panel test for like you say a man who doesn't look to be juicein
In 2015 they kicked out 60 people for AS why did they suddenly start testing
Also shocks me that they view AS the same as like coke or smack lol

This guy hasn't logged on since jul of 2015. Doubt he answers.

Must be a very detailed drug screen. CLEN isn't a steroid or amphetamine so really surprised
that would come up.

Bulkdaddy's picture

If I remember the army reg...it is under commander discretion only if there is suspicion. They can only send it to Hawaii or Florida I believe for steriod testing...

Hmm I used to pound Winstrol off and on while in the army and got drug tested every week it seemed like. Never pissed hot!

That's all rite mate, questioning each other's ideas, theories and information is what it's all about. It's the only way we learn. Are you forces as well?

jimmie's picture

Should be encouraged....

Roger, they gave Captain American gear and everyone loves him. It's ironic how pop culture can simultaneously glorify and denounce AAS.

US Army gives exactly 0 shits if you're using steroids. As a former infantryman, there were a number of suspiciously large, bloated, strong guys getting compartment syndrome from long runs. Hell, when we were deployed somebody accidentally discovered halodrol and suddenly my whole company was dosing something. We were good until they found a way to check for synthetic marijuana. That snagged so many people.

I am very surprised at the clenbuterol. The testing methodology in the UK must be particularly meticulous for that one.

They will have run a recreational drug test then a broad panel test which will have flagged up, most likely, suspicious liver enzyme values. They can then have drilled down to get more detailed cause, if, of course they needed something more specific than "steroids".

UK military are very keen on this at the moment and work with WADA closely in drug testing. In fact they are often used as guinea pigs before they try their tech on athletes etc. I have a fair bit of involvement with WADA in my job, you'd be shocked what they can track. They already have testing 100% ironed out for a drug we won't even put in the market until 2017......

Fingers03's picture

100%. I could email you a picture of the CDT failure paperwork if you like (obviously without his name at the top). I'll send you an FR.
I was of the exact same opinion my friend, I'm not sure how the testing is done but tech does Improve and testing is getting more sophisticated. Additionally, 5 other guys were caught with cocaine from the same test but my friends results took nearly two months longer to come through than the cocaine guys. This would lead me to presume that some sort of generalised test is carried out and if any anomalies are found, more in depth testing. And he wasn't suspected, at least he wasn't informed he was under suspicion. He's also not a big enough guy for it to be obvious. Just something I thought the community should be aware of.

Fingers03's picture

UK Bro. I'm not sure if they both use the same testing system, would have to research that one.

Catalyst's picture

UK military tests are pretty detailed.in terms of PED's. Same applies for the police and the fire service.

Fingers03's picture

Indeed, I was shocked as I know so many blokes getting away with it, I'm out soon so I'll do my next cycle on civvi street.

Goose24's picture

Phew!! Lol

Fingers03's picture

Haha, Maverick was almost flying solo. I was lucky, came off about two months before the test.

Yea man sounds like you just squeezed by.

Fingers03's picture

jimmie's picture

That question popped in my head as soon as I read the word "lad" hahaa
