Help with Labs in Canada.

Hey guys, I'm a long way off from pinning anything at current, but the more I've been reading the more I realize how much preparation will pay off.

After reading several posts now on the benefits of lab-work before, during, and after to monitor bloodwork and adjust things as necessary I've started looking around online on where to get labs done. All of that is to say, that I just can't find what I'm looking for.

I live in a smaller community in Ontario, and as far as I can see the only local labs are only drawing samples based on a doctor ordered tests. Everything seems to be OHIP related, and nothing Private, which could very well be a major deterrent for me.

Any thoughts, ideas, or recommendations would be appreciated, thanks.

Interesting, what were you using as a search query?

I've been searching for an hour + and all I've come up with were places that require OHIP information etc. None of which would be private.

Not trying to be obtuse here, but the only thing I'm finding is bloodtestscanada, and to say that it looks hokey is an understatement. Further, they're Networking with Lifelabs which while local, appears to be strongly affiliated with Ontario Health etc.

hey man, I just made an account to respond to this because I've been looking for the exact same thing.
I've been looking for a while and the only thing I've found so far are "homeopathic clinics" in your area. i'm going to be checking out a few where I live next week (manitoba) and I'll get back to you. the only downside i've heard of is that some of them can charge a lot for a hormone test.

Thanks, and interesting I never thought to check homeopathic type clinic's. Cost friendly would be nice, but at the end of the day I think extra cost is worth it to know exactly whats going on inside when I eventually do go on cycle.

you can also go to a walk in clinic and request them to do it

What type of walk-in clinic? If you mean something along the lines of a doctors walk-in clinic, well then there is the inevitable questions as to why I would want blood work done. Further, I'd require an OHIP card which I don't have.

If you mean walk-in lab that is private sector, I'd love to know their name.
