good way to open amps without a cracker

i figured i would post this it seems like a sterile way to open amps.it is what one of my friends does with amps.rip open a prep pad, put it over the top of the amp to keep you from getting cut should the glass break.he uses a razor blade to score it.ya dont need to crank on it when ya score it.give the prep pad a twist to clean the amp,and snap.hope this might help some one.

Use a top of a bic pen, works great. Nice clean break.
AnonThe first time I ever opened one I was like " What the fuck this thing is going to cut my thumb to ribbons", so I used to try and use pliers or anything around. Turns out that just made things worse. After opening about ten I started just doing it with thumb pressure alone and eveyone has been a nice clean break.
Now I cant go claiming Ive done this hundreds of times, but from what I see, just your hands are the best tool for opening amps.
