Ny giants

Any giants fans here?? What do you think they should do in the draft? Qb or the rb from penn state?

Good question. I very much enjoy the business aspect of professional sports so here my 2 cents.

First, NY Giants should trade Eli. Shouldve last year even. 5 million roster bonus this year on top of huge base salary. Trade him and move on. I believe a win now team would trade quite a bit for the right to the last few years of Eli's contract. Look at Denver and Peyton. Also, all qbs should be purged save Webb.

Second, The Giants must and have to trade Beckham predraft. Last year left on this rookie deal while demanding 20 millions per moving forward. Gigantic child and team distraction on a rebuilding team. Giving someone 20 million per year does not suddenly make them grow up and be a leader. If the Patriots can swing a 1st and more for Brandon Cooks than the sky is the limit on the open trade market for Beckham. Dumping these players will open much cap room while increasing overall total quality picks for next year.

Lets face it , its total rebuild time in NY. No running game, no offensive lineman, no linebackers just to name a few. Time to blow this up sky high and start over. No time for emotion either, this is business.

As per draft, this year is going to be a monumental draft. So many cant miss prospects out there. I'm speaking about cornerstone offensive lineman specifically. Combine that with everyone reaching for the next star qb , this draft will be proven to be a comedy of errors for many teams over the next few years

Giants, should try and move down. If staying at 2 they almost have to take a QB. Now if they were 5th or 6th then its simply the best player available either the RB or one of those cant miss lineman, overall, a much better position.

You dont trade the best receiver in football. I guarantee eli will have his best season of a long career with Pat Shurmurs power west coast system. Yes we ran the west coast under ben mcadont but we where the most predictable team in the league running eleven personnel 84% of passing plays n have the teceivers runnig slants n stop n go routes over n over. I think obj will get his shit together this year cuz shurmur n Gettleman dont play favorites like mcadont did. I would like to trade back hopefully with denver n draft Quenton Nelson with the 5th pick. But if cleveland draft Josh Allen at 1 we have to take Sam Darnold at 2, you just dont pass up on a qb with his tools.

looks like OBJ is here to stay and i have been reading a lot about sam darnold being the likely choice in the draft. i would like to see barkley get taken because i know he will be an immediate help but long term i think the qb is the best choice. really looking forward to this season

The rb is talented as hell but we know how long running backs in the NFL last. Still pick the kid though

Yeah historically rbs are not The best picks because they get hurt and don’t last long but if he turns out to be like zeek or fournette I think it’s worth it. Could completely change the dynamic of the team because their running game is basically non existent now. As a Giants fan it is hard for me to want them to pick a quarterback because whoever they pick won’t get much time playing this year, if any and I don’t want to wait at least another year to see improvement in the team haha. I want a quick fix. It’s gonna be a real tough division this year though so maybe a quarterback is the right pick since it’s good for the long term. I’m just glad I don’t have to make the decision lol.
