+ 2 T3 Uptake, T4 & Free T4 - Bloodwork

ad

The last couple times I've had my bloodwork done, my T3 uptake has been high and my T4 has been low and free T4 low. I don't know alot about thyroid metrics and have never had to worry much about it because those values had always been in range. After the first time they came back this way back in March, I started taking Bitiron T3/T4 twice a day (50mcg T4 & 12.5mcg of T3 per tablet) One in the morning and one in the afternoon. I had my bloods drawn again this week and these are the values (below). Just curious if anyone has more experience with this/suggestions. Thanks gentlemen.

Thyroid Panel with TSH
T3 UPTAKE 39 HIGH 22-35 % 01
T4 (THYROXINE), TOTAL 2.8 LOW 4.9-10.5 mcg/dL 01
Verified by repeat analysis.
FREE T4 INDEX (T7) 1.1 LOW 1.4-3.8 01
TSH 0.88 NORMAL 0.40-4.50 mIU/L

If you are already taking thyroid meds,........STOP.
Wait 8 weeks and get your doctor to run a panel.
Thyroid affects so much, low T4 and low TSH could be pituitary.
or it could be just you screwing with your hormones.

BTW, your numbers are not off that much,....... my TSH is 0.01, my Free T4 is 0.1, my Total T4 is >0.7,....... my Total T3 is 99, as you can see my system is fucked, probably a head injury from a head on with a drunk driver on a highway.

What was your TSH before? you mentioned everything else was basically the same before correct?

Hmmm IDK man what source did you get the Bitiron? On 100mcg of T4 and your T4 is significantly low...

I will preface by saying the thyroid system is very complicated and is made more complicated when you add thyroid drugs into the mix. I have seen some wonky things on T4/T3 and bitiron in bloodwork..

I appreciate your commitment to getting bloods brother +1

Thanks man. I'll paste the values from March below. I got the Bitiron from Roid Bazaar. It's Pharmaceutical grade from Turkey. Abdi Ibrahim brand.

THYROID PANEL WITH TSH (T3 UPTAKE, TOTAL T4, FTI, TSH)
T3 UPTAKE 40 HIGH 22-35 % 01
T4 (THYROXINE), TOTAL 3.1 LOW 4.9-10.5 mcg/dL 01
FREE T4 INDEX (T7) 1.2 LOW 1.4-3.8 01
TSH 1.13 NORMAL 0.40-4.50 mIU/L

Hm this is where it gets tricky because we only have T3 uptake to go by and not a serum T3 test. What I can say is that based on your previous bloodwork I would of recommended T4 monotherapy because your T3 uptake is already elevated. By giving the body more T3 and T4 (through Bitiron) caused your TSH (signal from your pituitary to your thyroid to produce more T3/T4) to drop slightly to stay in homeostasis. You could see a doc to get it sorted legit, not everyone can do that though.

Thanks brother. I think I'm tracking. I'm going to try to find some T4 and cut out the Bitiron and then get bloods again and see how it does. I appreciate you taking a look.
