+ 1 Blood Pressure
ad
My BP is a little high on cycle. 130s. My blood panels look great except low HDL. I asked my doc about telmisartan. He said: "We don't prescribe telmisartan. We have irbesartan (which I would prefer because it lasts longer in your system) or losartan.
May I ask people's experience and and opinions?

My Doc in the UK wouldn't give me Telmisartan as its not one they prescribe, but they would do Losartan which is also an ARB too so basically it works the same way to reduce BP. It works well - best to take 50mg per day of it as that seems to be the general dose across the board. As with a lot of the BP meds available, you will probably get a bit of brain fog on it which some people notice and others don't. It is very effective though and works within a few hours, can really notice the decrease in training if BP is an issue for you - much less breathlessness after a set and you get it back much quicker as the heart isn't working as hard.
BP is always going to go up on cycle thats pretty much a given, especially the higher the doses you run and the more effective the compounds are at building muscle. Often the more effective Steroids bring bigger side effects unfortunately. I know many of us on gear like to think that 130/80 is no big deal and nothing to get on BP meds for - but it is. We simply just get use to it being like over the years and would much prefer to see that kind of number as opposed to say 150/90. The reality is though is many of us when completely natural and not running steroids in our former lives would probably of sat around 100 - 110 / 65 which is a MUCH healthier and realistic reading for a healthy long life and heart. Ever wondered why training was so much easier when you were natural than when running gear? Its mainly all down to much lower Blood pressure levels and heart rate.
I just meant to add on - Telmisartan is the better BP med then Losartan for us guys though as it has some great additional benefits for relieving internal kidney pressure so the filters are not under so much pressure from the blood, Losartan still does this but Tel is just a little better. If Telmisartan is something you ideally want when running a cycle, then the Lab I always tout in the forums as producing the best orals (its the tongue stud that makes the difference) make a good version of it so you can buy several boxes of it if buying other gear from them at the same time.
Yeah, I would be happy with that BP, especially if you’re on cycle. Not sure what you’re currently running or what your diet looks like. If you’re not proactively monitoring your sodium intake you should start to find your baseline and then cut back a little. Nothing drastic, just avoid highly processed foods that are packed with it and adding table salt to your meals. Cutting some sodium will help drop water weight which typically has a positive impact on BP. That’s why many BP meds are a combo pill with a diuretic like Losartan/HCTZ.
Blood pressure is a debatable topic. It’s important to stay within a healthy range, but something like 130/85? You absolutely do not need to introduce another drug into your system. Your family medicine doctor may try to sell you on it, others won’t give you anything until you’re 140/90 for 6 months. If you ever get a chance to talk to an emergency medicine doctor, you’ll be blown away. Again, stay healthy, but don’t throw drugs at every little thing, they all have to be processed by the body. You’re taking exogenous hormones and steroids, 130/85 is actually great. Personally I’d leave that alone. Shit, I had a friend who’s doctor (he didn’t like him anyway) wanted to put him on insulin with a glucose level of 110. Crazy right? I wouldn’t sweat it bro, best wishes to you
Yes man typically stays around 130/80, In fact my last Dr checkup a few weeks back registered that exactly and she had no issues with it.
I had high blood pressure and some very encouraging guys on here suggested I use Cialis. I took a part of a cialis and let me tell you it 100% worked I went from 150/91 to 120/85.
Did you take it daily or just like a one time thing? My blood pressure was so fucked one time im talking 164/101 and the nurses were like oh yeah I’m not too worried about it I was like bitch I’m about to have a stroke lmao. Turns out they used too small of a cuff and when they got the right reading it was 147/89 while on cycle. I’m thinking about doing 5-10mg cialis every other day while in cycle to try and manage it a little better
I have just been taking it when its high. My BP has been high while on cycle so its about every other day and I only take half a pill.
Cool I’m going to try that. Thanks bro
Daily is the way to go. 10 mg daily is what i take. Nice boners, bp under control and a little help with vascularity.
If you can get free Irbesartan through your doc if your insurance covers it, then go for it. They both work the same, the only difference is the half life. Also, if you want to have better lipids look into Cardarine it works wonders for ldl/hdl.
Cialis man. When I start blasts, by week 4 I'm up in the 130/85 range, pop 5mg Cialis a day and I'm always down in the 100/70 range daily. I track mine every day. Call me a hyper-responder, but works every time for me. Love the stuff. Makes pound town great as well.
