Workout Routines
ad
I got super strong relatively quick as a young man natty in high school running one of the most basic workout routines focused on Bench, Deadlift, and Squats. The Bigger,Faster,Stronger program if any of you guys are familiar with this program. My question is I know the science of lifting has come a long way and there obviously have been better developed lifts for specific muscle groups, etc, but what do you guys prefer? Do you go to the gym and bounce around to 10 different machines? Or do you pick a select core few and focus all your effort and workouts around perfecting them?

Life is so hectic these days I’m lucky to get to the gym when I do I bounce all over because I’m excited to lift weights not just my jailhouse routine in the basement when the kids finally fall asleep. But my jailhouse routine is pull ups burpees squats lunges and dip and then burnout with pushups
Just chest and tris 5x per week
unseen423I like to stick to a program for at least 8 weeks at a time to really focusing on progressing each lift. Then make changes if needed, or swap out some things just to keep it interesting.
Same.. I still follow the ‘not-backed-by-science”concept of switching exercises to “trick the muscles. Sometimes I switch exercises, sometimes switch reps/sets etc.
If anything, it keeps my gym routine from getting boring
