+ 1 Last Cycle 600mg Test. Getting ready for next cycle advice at 50 years old
I have ran a few 500mg and under test cycles over the years. Last one I went 16 weeks 600mg test and put on a lot of water weight it seemed like. Had good results and labs were as expected just over high on lipids.
Im 50 years old. Extra sensitive side effects on everything it seems these days so looking for a little something extra but not to much. Ive ran anavar before but BP spikes got to me after a week or two.
6'3 225lbs around 18% BF at the moment. Diet is decent during cycles. Seems at 2500 calories I just feel swollen bloated. AI I do .5 Arimidex day after pin twice a week.
BP while on cycle stays about 10 over normal.
Workout 4 days a week. 45 minutes cardio 4 days a week as well
Was looking at adding masterone what do you guys think? And what would be a decent next cycle with test c and mast?

As someone who sees many people 50 plus, I recommend that you make sure your blood pressure and lipids are in check. Those are the two main factors contributing to mortality in the hospital, and cause a variety of issues such as strokes and accelerate cardiovascular aging as well as strain on the heart, specifically left ventricular hypertrophy. Adding masteron will somewhat help with your estrogen sides, but will also disrupt your lipid profile. If your lipids are high, it wouldn't be a bad idea to look into either atorvastatin or Rosuvastatin to make sure your LDL are within appropriate levels.
Additionally, watch your blood pressure. Low dose Losartan wouldn't be a bad idea just to keep it in check. I know many individuals like to add both anti blood pressure and lipid medication as ancillaries during blast cycles. Also wouldn't hurt to use it off cycle to maximize your health. Only use if needed.
Post got my attention since I’m also 50. I just started competing last year at 49. Also know some other brothers close to my age who compete. To be honest, at this age we run cycles where we don’t need AI. (These doses are only heading to a show) Rest of the year 250-375 susta. So for me, that means 500 mg susta and 250 EQ. Everybody’s different though. So you’re gonna have to find out what works for you. Look at it this way. If you’re taking something and you have to fight all the side effects, just lower the dose. High blood pressure, high lipids, missing sleep is much more detrimental at our age. But, I also run HGH with every cycle for the last decade. I run L carnitine 400mg/ day (injectable) , vitamin b12 injections 1250 mg every 2 weeks during blast. Glutathione, and of course multis, omega 3s. Last year I went Into my cut, no ai needed. Big bonus, your body likes growing when its healthy. So by lowering doses and not needing caber or ai etc. I grew. I was shocked because of my age. I wish I ran healthier cycles when I was younger. I would been unstoppable.
Some guys giving you some really good answers on here mate - you would normally have to pay someone for help like that.
Whaat Ya Gonna Doooo!!!!

150mg test at most, or are you trying to die earlier?
You should look into telmisartan for your BP issues. It's an ARB, it rarely has side effects as long as you don't consume an insane amount of potassium. Every client I've recommended it to has normal blood pressure while running it. PEDs cause blood vessels to constrict, and your blood has to pump harder to push it through, telmisartan keeps the blood vessels wide open allowing the blood to flow freely. Most vendors sell it, it's cheap if you order international. 40mg daily is the recommended dosage, 80mg if you have really high BP. I think anyone running cycles should be on it for longevity and heart health.
If your goal for next cycle is muscle growth I would replace the masteron with primo and drop the armidex once you dial in the dosage. 70% of your test dosage as primo seems to manage e2 for most, 80% or even 1 to 1 ratio for high aromitzers. 600 test 420 primo is a great cycle. Diet can always be cleaned up, very low fat, high carb from fruit, grains, vegetables. Diets like mixed fruit, honey, dates, prunes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, Asparagus zucchini, chicken, white fish, 99/1 turkey, 93/7 lean beef. Lock in it for the next cycle and skip the cheat meals unless you have to like for events or date nights but still choose chicken rice veggies. Make sure key supplements are there, tudca, ox bile, glutamine, glutathione, vit E, Vit K + Vit D, Magnesium, citrus Bergamot, berberine, hawthorn berry, tumeric, fish oil, krill oil, TMG. Drop the orals this cycle for health management, save them for the last 4 weeks. You can run pretty much any oral except for the hard hitters like superdrol mtren halo for 4 weeks, after 4 weeks you recover very quickly if diet and supps and sleep is locked in. Alot of trt clinics are prescribing 100mg deca with with test you could look into that after doing some research. Plenty of options. I've had great gains with 600 test 420 primo 8iu GH and 50mg anadrol last 4 weeks with bloods within range, small hit during the last 4 weeks and then back to normal 4 weeks later. Same with 600 test, 400 npp deca, 20mg cardarine and 1mg Retatutride lipid management, supplements locked in. If you don't want to pack on muscle and just lean gain, sticking to the Test Mast I'd great too but definitely add the telmisartan. Good luck bro!
**Bonus tip, if you want a diet that reduces bloating dramatically try this. On lifting days, eat your normal low fat high carb high protein diet, on rest days, eat only fruit and honey. Bags of mixed frozen fruit, canned pineapples Pears Mangos peaches, cherries, honey drizzled on top, and you'll expereince the flatest bloatless stomach you'll ever have. You won't be sore, you won't become diabetic, you'll have tons of energy, full of glycogen, improved lipids as long as supplements are there, and you'll have a new look you've never seen before.
I agree with this comment, as this is one of the few ARB that has been showed to be superior to the others in regards to cardiovascular protection. Losartan and Olson both work, however half life of Losartan is not that long hence requiring two doses a day, and Olmesartan can cause gastritis.
Nice thanks for the info. Primo was the other option i had been looking at.
Most guys at 50 are gassing out walking up stairs, and you’re still in the game, pressing iron and running cycles. Salute.
Now let’s get into it.
You’re 6'3", 225 at 18% , not bad at all, but here’s the truth:
You’re not trying to be a monster anymore, you’re trying to look good, feel strong, stay alive, and not wreck your BP or cholesterol while chasing it.
And you already noticed the sides:
Water bloat on 600mg Test
Lipids took a hit
Anavar lit your BP!!
So now you’re looking at Test + Mast?
Smart move.
Here’s why:
Masteron (DHT derivative) won’t aromatize --> less water, drier look
Mild AI effect --> might actually let you lower your Arimidex
Improves mood, libido, and hardens you up without the bloat
Also: it plays nice with Test C and doesn’t nuke your system like orals do
Here’s a clean, low-side 50+ Friendly Cycle (12 weeks):
Test C – 300–400mg/week
Mast E – 300–400mg/week
Arimidex – 0.25mg twice/week (only if needed after bloods or signs of high E2)
Optional: low-dose GH (1–2 IU pre-bed) if your wallet doesn’t mind and you want better sleep, skin, and recovery
If your libido tanks or mood crashes on Mast, it’s often because you dropped estrogen too low. So always monitor labs — don’t go full AI goblin mode “just in case.”
Bloods:
Pull labs before, at week 6, and after.
Watch E2, lipids, hematocrit, BP, PSA, and kidney function. At 50, these aren’t optional — they’re survival gear.
Final Thoughts:
Drop the 600mg Test. You're not 25. That dose is doing more harm than good.
Masteron is a great addition, but don’t expect it to be a miracle cutter. It shines when you're already lean (12% and below). At 18%, it’ll help, but don’t expect to walk around granite-hard unless diet’s dialed too.
Focus on recomp: get leaner, hold size, stay healthy.
Respect for doing this with some brains behind the barbell.
Forget chasing old-school blast mentality. At 50, this is about optimizing, staying functional, lean, strong, and not nuking your health to add 5 pounds of water weight. Less is more, when it’s the right compounds.
And just for you here is a little extra cause why the hell not:
TRT Lean-Out Bridge Protocol
Perfect post-cycle to drop fat, preserve muscle, and give your body time to normalize
Goal: Maintain strength, recover internal health, slowly get leaner
Weekly Plan:
Test C – 125–150mg/week
Mast E (Optional) – 100–200mg/week for extra polish & SHBG support
Aromasin – 6.25mg twice/week or Arimidex 0.25mg 1–2x/week
GH – 1–2 IU pre-bed (optional but excellent for fat loss, sleep, recovery)
Metformin – 500mg twice/day (optional: helps insulin sensitivity, lipids, and fat loss at 50+)
Cardio:
Fasted cardio 3–4x/week (30–45 mins), ideally walking incline or cycling
Keep cortisol low. No 2-hour death marches.
Diet:
Drop cals to maintenance or slight deficit (10–15%)
Keep protein high, carbs around workouts, fats steady
Monitor weight weekly, not daily
Use this bridge to let your lipids recover, hematocrit normalize, and maintain fullness while you lean down.
Don’t rush into another blast. Let the body stabilize and catch up
Thanks ChatGPT
Thing is, I’ve been around this game for a long time. My write-ups have always sounded like this, back when I was here as Zewi, then Vewi, and even when I was a source. This isn’t new. I’ve always dropped real advice and structured breakdowns the same way.
But make no mistake, I don’t need ChatGPT or any of that crap to speak on this.
At most, I might run it to double-check spelling or keep myself from getting banned again for losing my shit on clowns.
Bottom line
I’ll put my knowledge up against anyone, any day of the week.
Nah, sorry my guy… I don’t buy it
I’m sure you have been around a long time, but 90% of your post has AI ‘write up’ written all over it…
Smart move.
Here’s why:
Your post is using an en dash instead of a regular dash in all the numerical variables… Here’s the difference;
– (En dash) - (Regular dash)
En dashes are very formal, and don’t have a dedicated key on any physical or virtual keyboards, “but I’m using auto grammar on my phone”
Wouldn’t correct it in cases like this; “Metformin – 500mg”
En dash’s are a common tell-tale sign of AI use these days, your response also doesn’t follow the same typing pattern as your original post…
The original is formally laid out, your response is missing the same punctuation you use in the original post, not a very consistent structure in your reply.
Final Thoughts:
Nothing wrong with a good ole spelling mistake, I’m not doubting you’ve been around a long time and have some good knowledge but, come on
Oh boy, here we go again. Might catch a ban, but last post on this.
Believe what you want, Waltdisneysbum. I’ve been doing this since half this forum thought creatine was gear. As Zewi, then Vewi, and back when I was running EliteAnabolX, none of that was AI. That was me, stacking cycles and writing protocols before most of you even knew what a PCT was. I was running with Viking and the top guys when they were still around.
You wanna nitpick a dash or call out grammar like it changes the game, Cool. But if you’re gonna question something, question the content. Challenge accepted.
I’ve written guides that changed the way people approached recovery and cycle planning, on this forum and others. You’re just now catching up.
Yeah, I use spellcheck. Why, So I don’t get banned for going nuclear on clowns. But the info, The structure, The breakdowns, All mine. Always have been.
You don’t have to like it. But you damn sure will learn from it.
End of story.

This is a response from an individual I called out for having en dash's instead of a regular dash's in his original post, can you write a nice paragraph to calm him down and explain I'm not attacking his experience as it never was in question, I was simply pointing out he used AI to formulate or format his original post, it was all in jest!
ChatGPT said:
Sure! Here's a calm, respectful, and friendly paragraph you can use to help defuse the situation:
Hey OnlyZewi, I just wanted to clear the air a bit. My comment about the dashes wasn’t meant to challenge your experience or the valuable knowledge you’ve shared over the years — that was never in question. You’ve clearly put in the time and effort, and that’s respected. My remark was more of a lighthearted observation, especially since the formatting looked a bit like something AI might do — it was all in jest, not a serious critique. Definitely not trying to start anything or take away from the content you’re contributing. All good on my end, and I appreciate what you bring to the forum.
Let me know if you want it to be more formal, shorter, or more casual!
You said:
Nah that's good, thank you for including those en dashes in your response too so we can see my point!

You're very welcome — and nicely spotted on those en dashes! -- Glad the tone worked for you. Let me know if you need help drafting anything else or keeping the peace in the thread. Internet forums can get heated fast!
He's been around here for many years guy's - he knows his shit!!!
Now that Rusty Hooker guy - Not sure what happened to him
That ChatGPT is slick lol. Really helpful
Ive never done the GH before. Any sides or anything I have to worry about with that?
Exactly what im after. Thank you. Yes for sure just trying to stay in the game and healthy over everything else. Key is knowing your body and listening to it a lot. Every 4-6 weeks I will do 3 weeks progressive overload every set and by the 2.5-3 week mark I know its time to calm down some so I do. Rarely try to ego lift but you know once in awhile you just want to see if its paying off in strength. A goal of mine for 50 was to hit 315lb bench. A few months back I decided to try it. Hit it 5 times and put it down. Yup its heavy, Yup I can do it. Nope dont need to. Thanks this sounds like a solid plan for me. I will be giving it a shot in a few weeks and report back. I do my labs exactly like you said here and can pretty much say what they are going to be at 6 weeks in now so im definitely learning where im at and what its doing on that end. Thanks again
