+ 2 Easy carb sources

ad

I’m curious what people are using for carb sources that are easily digested and fat free. I’m 6 meal a daying it and on my high carb days I’m consuming 1000 grams of carbs. blood glucose management in place. The mainstay is rice however there’s times when in order to get the food in I’ve been waking up at 3 am to finish off meal 6. I have zero issue continuing this but figured I’d see if someone had something I hadn’t thought of. My main alternative carb source has been orange juice. Want to avoid carb powders ( I use intra workout though) for digestive efficiency. Talking about steroids is fun and all but the food is my concern here lol there’s gotta be a million things my thick skull isn’t thinking of. I’m leaning towards fruits being the most viable option as a micronutrient rich addition. What have people done to get the food in

Blood sugar management is in place. 1500 mg of berberine along with an exogenous dose of a certain naturally occurring peptide. I track my blood glucose levels throughout the day. Bagels are a good idea though!

I wondered if you were running some of that also with such a huge amount of carbs.

Yeah for sure. Between the couple units of gh a day (just a good generic from source here) and three high carb days a week it’d be silly not to in my opinion and a fast recipe for insulin resistance and all the problems that come along with it

Yeah the harder a carb is to digest the slower and longer your blood sugars will spike. Juices are definitely a quick spiking carb.if you are eating a lot of simplex carbs eat protein and fiber first to slow the glucose uptake and subsequent spike.

To add to this list, I eat a lot of carbs with high protein like lentils, beans, quinoa, etc. i always seem to get too much of a crash from simple carbs.

White Jacket or Baked potato has always been my favourite especially before training, and when this is a bit much white bread or rice later in the day. Being an ectomorph I have a very fast metabolism so the more complex carbs don't do much for me, the heavier and more basic the better. Body type tends to have a lot to do with how much and the type you need - Endo's tend to need less with meso's being in the middle of the road. Permabulk forever!! Lol

Majority of my carbs are simple carbohydrates as well. I do have oats regularly though. For where I’m at right now all I care about is building as much muscle as possible. So I want stuff that’s going to digest as quickly as possible before my next meal has to go down. I’m an ecto too. Tall skinny dude whose forced my way to 250 and will keeping forcing my weight up more

For the fast kind I really like watermelon and/or rice krispie treats lol

More complex I'm a huge fan of sweet potato or yams

Sweet potatoes are bomb however they give me so much bloating that when you see me you’d look around to see where my moons are in orbit

Better than Uranus jkjk

I've been on a purple sweet potato kick I guess they are much healthier, either or, I make a lot of french fries with them, sometimes dip them in sour cream. I know weird right

Personally I like white rice. It’s a basic carb and I respond well to it. Cream of wheat is easy on the stomach and gives you a decent energy boost, better than oatmeal and rice imo in terms of digestion.

Have you ever tried cream of rice?… I wanna switch things up soon and might add it to my rotation

I have used cream of rice for years now getting pricey. So i started using. Blender and making my own out of the big bags of rice. I cant tell the difference. Saves ne money and delicious

Milfhunter2001's picture

That’s a good idea! I’ll have to give it a try brotha

Notmelgibson's picture

That’s a good idea. Cream of rice is definitely getting a little pricey but at least in the area I’m in- everything is expensive now it’s ridiculous. I work 7 days a week between 2 jobs so that I can afford to be responsible and bodybuild lol

White rice is my mainstay my bad I thought I had said that. And I have tried cream of rice it’s good but I noticed if I ate a large amount of it I’d get like heartburn kindA. It could be how I cooked it or something because I know rice products are pretty much digested well by everyone
