Seeking simple basic advice

ad

I’m 40, 5foot 8 inches, 188 lbs. I’ve been weight training for 10 years. Bro split 5-6 days/week. I need a first time cycle & pct for dummies. I’ve done some due diligence but there’s so many conflicting opinions. Any insight is appreciated.

What’s going on man, definitely do your own research as different substances affect people differently. My first time around I stuck to just testosterone with a pretty basic PCT plan. Here is a link to my first cycle.

You don’t have to slowly increase your testosterone, like I did, the reason I did this was the monitor for side effects as it was my first time.

Be better then me and do your bloods before, halfway in the cycle and after.

An enjoyable aspect of this lifestyle chosen, is doing the research. It's just as important as eating lifting sleeping. Incorporating some HCG into the cycle will immensely help your recovery when you transition to PCT.

If you're looking for a PCT for dummies, well, that's an important part of this whole process so don't try to just wing it. At that age you'll feel like a new man after 4 to 6 weeks on gear

Personally I would suggest you get a blood panel done to see where your natural levels are to determine “proper dosage”. If you choose to start without I would start on the lower end around 250mg/wk of cyp or enethate to test the waters to ensure you’re not going to have any crazy sides.

Like others have said for your first time I would keep it simple and basic, stick to one compound and see how you react and what works for you. People react differently to different compounds. Test is the obvious choice since your body is already used to it. My first cycles were with just Test, then I would add another compound in with later cycles to see the effects, like Test with Deca, test with D-bol, ect. I would also get some Nolvadex to have on hand for anti-estrogen and PCT.

For dosage I would keep it around 400-500mg per week, split injections 2 or 3 times a week. I used to get the Sustanon 250 amps so I would take it twice a week for 500mg total. I personally like getting the higher dosed bottles, like 400mg/ml. keeps it very simple to dose, if you want 200mg then just load up 1/2ml into the syringe. Test Cyp, Test Enanthate, or a test blend with short and long esters is the same in my opinion if injecting more than once a week.

I would run a PCT afterwards. If taking 500mg Test for 10-12 weeks your bodies own test will be shut down and PCT will help stimulate production again. I like the Nolvadex 40/20/10 schedule. Start PCT 2 weeks after last injection (Test Cyp, Test E), 40mgs/day for 2 weeks, then 20mgs/day for 2 weeks, followed by 10mgs/day for 1 or 2 weeks. 50 tab packs of Nolvadex 20mg tabs are perfect for this.

I used to inject IM but now stick to sub-q with 27gauge 1/2" needles.

I recommend using the classic testosterone cypionate At proper dosage it is unlikely that you will need pct at proper dosages.

Is it essential to have cypionate (i was looking into enanthate) as I had an impression, that the only difference in esters is the amount of times I'm looking to pin myself?

CRAZY DOSER's picture

There is still a difference between these two

For example if are you using big dosages (1.5g and more) then enanthate will give a larger cumulative effect after 2-3 weeks of usage than cypionate.

If you are using usual dosages 500-750 mg (400-600) then there won't be much of a difference.

Practically at moderate dosages, weekly injections will be administered the same (2-3 injections) for both esters.

What would a proper dosage cycle look like?

CRAZY DOSER's picture

400-600 mg per week

Myboyblue's picture

So 200mg twice per week. which needle should I use? How far apart should my doses be and for how long? With no pct?

CRAZY DOSER's picture

The needle choice depends on what type of oil carrier your products manufacturer will be using. This is a crucial aspect because there are carriers available now that allow the use of very thin needles like 27G x 1 and 1/2" or even insulin needles for small volume syringes. If you plan to use such thin needles, buy syringes with a volume of no more than 2-3 ml so that you can inject without issues (the needle diameter should match the syringe plunger diameter).

If you don't want to bother with these considerations, use 23G needles or larger. Inject into large muscle groups, inserting the needle deeply.

Administer injections of 200 mg on Tuesday and Friday, for example. This should be sufficient. If this is your first cycle, aim for 8-10 weeks.

I want to trim down to 10% bf without losing any muscle.

Cycling T doesn't make you lose weight, you will most likely gain weight, a lot of water weight. You should really lose weight before starting a cycle.
