TRT and testing
ad
If I go to a trt clinic are they going to test for steroids? I am wondering if they will see npp or do not look? My last test was within normal range 280 but that's on the low side. I want to go in and try to get a script knowing I will feel a hell of a lot better. Thanks

@stl, Good luck finding a doc that'll work with you. It can be challenging. And I'm in the scenario where I'm just genetically low, regardless of no booze, no smoking, lifting heavy, eating clean, staying active, blah blah blah. I'm learning that @IrishMack is dead right when he says, "being a TRT lifer fucking sucks."
@stl, Regarding your own health, I saw you said you quit smoking a few years ago. Has that stuck for you?
Yes it has. I am just exploring options. Test makes me feel a hell of a lot better even in low does, but I am not going to prescribe myself. I am wondering on others experience's. Some say it's worth it others do not. As far as I could find I'm border line and with a complete physical everything else is on point. I would only want to be on TRT if it improved my quality of life, it has nothing to do with lifting.
These are decisions you have to make. My opinion is try to get everything done with an endo. If you cant find one to prescribe you will have to make the decision to self prescribe. If you do go that route you will have to make sure you get bloods done before, during and after. Also be aware that once you start down this path of TRT there is no return. This is a life time decision so think long and hard about it.
Sorry but we don't discuss how to cheat the system so you can put yourself on trt. You either need it or you don't. Fkn absolutely stupid to want to be a slave to a needle. If you were 280 you already might have been a candidate so I'm calling duck here.
I don't want to cheat it. I was asking cause it can show up for 12 month's
Then get off cycle, pct for the same amount of time you were cycling, wait another month, then go see your endo. That will determine if you really need it or not. There are guys in their 40's with 240nl who feel just great and are very athletic, I work with one. Very fit, eats good, works out 3 times a week. You might not feel good due to other reasons. Go get a full physical as well as a full blood panel. I'm a trt lifer and it fkn sucks. Exhaust EVERY option before you go down this path.
There is a certain test, however, that can cross react with nandrolone. LabCorps uses this test when you order the total testosterone (the one that gives you the total, not just the ">1500"). This could artificially increase your total T number and freak out your doc.
So...something about which to be cognizant
*crap somehow missed your last sentence that you aren't on TRT yet. My bad. on that&
No, they wont. They will do basic bloods to see if things such as cholesterol are in place, liver enzymes, prostate, and anything else you would get during regular check up plus they will test your test and estro levels to know if you qualify for trt and to pick a dose. None will test you for any drug use. But if you're on cycle, your levels will be abnormally elevated and nobody will write you a script.
Thank you!
What do most doc's consider low?
Depends on the doctor. Some will give you a hard time and some will br happy to get you hooked up and suck cash from you/your insurance.
Usually anything under 300, some won't touch you unless under 200.
