testosterone treatment/therapy

ad

Hi members,

I am new to this forum and testosterone therapy and have some questions for people more familiar with this therapy and testosterone. Some background on me: 35, 5'11", 175lbs. I am somewhat active due to my job and exercise by running or workout videos. For several years I have been suffering from extreme fatigue and depression. I finally linked it to low testosterone thanks to a new doc I have been seeing and he began treatment to get my level up which was at 180 total T. He started me on injections and told me they would last a month. I felt soooo good after the initial shot and was so happy like I have never felt before and thought I found the answer to my prayers. Well after 5 days I started to slowly come down and on the 6th day I completely crashed. I was unable to work and my extreme fatigue was magnified by 10. The doc gave me another shot the 7th day thinking that I used up the 1st shot since I was at such a low level. I felt great again for 1 day and had a massive crash again the 2nd day after my 2nd shot. The doc gave me another shot 3 days after the second shot and ordered cream from a compounding pharmacy to see how I would react to using the cream instead of injections. So here I am using the cream and have not crashed yet from the 3rd shot which was 4 days ago. All the shots were around 400mg and the cream is 60mg and each application is a 30mg dose once a day. Some questions I have:

1)Any idea as to why I crashed like that? Could it be related to estrogen?
2)While using the cream I dont feel as good with injections but I am not as bad as I was to begin with, would an injection once a week at a lower dose work better?
3)Does anyone have any advice as to what would work better for me?

I appreciate any advice/info you guys may have. I am not a bodybuilder and I do not have plans to use anything other than testosterone as a treatment. Thanks so much for your input. You can't believe how relieved I am that I finally found an answer to the issues I have been having. Thanks again!

You haven't given time for it to stabalize. It peaks for a couple days then slowly goes down. You should at least wait 2 months before deciding agains shots. Once the shots have had to to do its thing you will not really notice the lows. Cyp lasts longer than enanthate

Thanks KMC. Yeah, my doc was surprised how low I was and was excited to treat me because he knew how much better I would feel. I was excited too until I crashed. I was not anymore active than normal after the second shot.

Do the crashes get less intense as I continue the treatments? Like I mentioned above, since my 3rd shot I have been using the cream daily so I am assuming I am keeping up my numbers since I have not crashed yet or I am more stabilized? After I crashed I pretty much was my old self until the next shot kicked in.

The doc didnt mention exactly what compound he used. I would assume it would be the most common since he treats other middle aged and older men with the same stuff and he has never had someone crash like me. Does my metabolism have anything to do with how fast I went through the shot?

Does anyone know what injectable compound I could ask my doctor to use that would work better? Thanks again

Ok, after giving it some thought, as I've haven't real talked to anyone else that uses the term crashing, and that is exactly what it feels like and it sounds like a fairly rare thing in TRT.

It might be best to sit down and exchange a bit of relevent history by PM's, see if we can find any intersecting lines so to speak. I can pretty much narrow it down to the day/event when my levels started to decline. Let me know.

That sounds good to me KMC. I honestly wasnt doing anything strenuous or active at my crashes. I just remember I began crashing around noon with the start of yawning and it slowly progressed for 1.5 days each time. At the end I was completely comatose. I would be in that state until my next shout began to kick in about 1 day later. PM me with your questions. Thanks a ton.

I kind of look at boosting your Testoserone level as trying to charge a very large battery (your body) with a very small charger (the shot), it can take several days of charing (several shots) to get you charges up. The strange thing is that the first shot sounded and acted a lot like a Testosterone Propionate ester (1-2 day half life), The prefered esters in TRT are generally slower Enanthate (Enth)(10-12 day half life), Cypionate (Cyp)(12-13 day), and maybe Decanoate (D)(maybe 15-16 day ???) or Undecanoate (U) (even longer) the latter 2 being fairly rare.

The crashing thing is some sort of yo-yo effect, it happens to me also, and I've never heard anyone else mention it. No, it shouldn't be effected by that amount by metabolism, (but anything is possible).

I'll re-read this after dinner, may add more then.

I'm also sending a friend request.

After your 2nd shot, were you really active/busy that day ??

Did the Dr mention which Test ester/compound he was using. Prop ,Enth, Sust would be the common ones in GB.

And yeah the crash thing is not pleasant, you don't hear too many talk about, probably because they haven't experienced it. My guess is really really low number to get a crash, a 2 hour nap seems to give time for the numbers to come up some. :(

More questions in a bit.
