+ 1 Normal free testosterone levels?

I went to my normal quack doctor for bloodwork. I requested to have my test levels checked because I have never had it checked before. Apparenty they only checked my free test witch came in at 5.3. They said it is normal. I think they should have checked my total test. I have been suffering low t symptoms since my 30s, I am now 44. I have not been on any test or anything else for at least 7 months. I have run A trt dose of 100mg per week in the past and felt much better. According to some info I have found 5.3 is normal for an 80 year old man. What should my normal free test levels really be?

Just to add to the below... Could even be low estro, believe it or not. Symptoms are almost identical

Not sure. I'm going to get my own hormone panel done. I'm curious to see what my total test, estrogen, and everything else looks like.

A lot of people blame low t for everything, thank god for all those commercials huh? Low t has been blamed for everything from laziness, no sex drive, no energy, e.t.c when 75% of it is because of depression, junk food, anxiety, opiod use, thyroid issue, high blood pressure, low blood pressure. If you tested good for free test, you do not have low t. You should get a full physical, a full blood panel, and a thoroughness check.
You are absolutely correct all those other reasons are more likely the cause and possibly can be fixed without trt.
My question is. Is 5.3 A good number. I'm really not sure.
Depends on the test. average test shows that number right in the range of normal for your age.

I think it depends on the lab used but when I got mine done, normal range was 5-21

I would say its time to find a new one if you have lost confidence in this one.
Its very hard to find A good doctor around here.
