Low test and getting, lower?
Had a prostate exam (insert joke here), the Urologist had no problem with starting TRT after seeing my test level was low.
After 30 days it dropped in half and he sent me to the Endo who couldnt believe TRT should even be offered, said we could get me from 363 to 450, that was it!, wont be seeing her again, thanks for nothing. Going back to the Urologist who is ok with any type of TRT including test Cyp.
Heres the breakdown
1-28-15 Total test 363 free test 57
2-6-15 Started Androgel 2 pumps per day
3-6-15 total test 178 free test 28 increased Androgel to 3 pumps per day
3-25-15 total test 242 free test 28
LH 0.1, FSH 0.5, prolactin 4.8
Have to go back to the Urologist, NOT Endo, do I ask for Test Cyp to get the level as high as I can?
If so can I blast on purchased test and cruise on script test from Dr?
Going backwards!
Thanks for any help

Thanks for the input Cyber
I have an appt with the Urologist tomorrow and am interested in what he has to say, hope the levels are coming up but I'm not feeling it yet. If I stay on Androgel to get them up I might start spending a lot of money.
I'll see what happens tomorrow, I agree with you about checking the E2 levels the next time I get my test levels checked.
I fired my first doctor AND my first Endo for being stupid. My firs doctor said "yes, you have 153 test, but I am not going to do anything about it". I shamed him into referring me to an Endo. I had a bad bout with androgel (had all types of mental side effects from the delivery method). My Endo said it was impossible to have side effects from androgel, even though the paperwork said it was a possibility. I had stopped taking it, sides went away, started up again, sides returned, stopped, they went away. Pretty much a slam dunk on androgel being the cause.
My current (third now) TRT doc is a urologist. He does not know a lot, but he is more than willing to give me any blood work I ask for (I had him add E2, he felt it was not needed but did not argue). He also believes the last 25% of my test bottle is considered lost due to either not being able to get it all out or damaging the rubber seal, so he overprescribes me test. I am half way through a blast and am using all prescribed test that I built up due to actually being able to get out almost every drop.
So, I would talk to your urologist and tell him that you do not feel as good as you would like while at 242 and would like to be a bit higher. He will up your dose. Next blood test should show 400-something. Again, tell him you feel better, but still have ED issues at times so you would like to try a higher test level to see if it fixes it. When he gets you around 700 you really cannot ask for higher since you are very near the top of the range.
Sounds like your Endo should be giving prostate exams. You did ask for a joke. As for blast and cruise, yes, you can cruise on the prescribed dosage and blast on the product you get from another source. Just be aware of when your blood test dates are so you can be prepared and act accordingly.
Thanks KMC,
Always appreciate input.
