E2 levels?

ad

Hey guys despite searching the web and asking people I know I can't seem to get a solid answer on acceptable estrogen levels. My test came in at 375 and all she said was estrogen was below 20 she said that was good. But I want to double check. Should b getting copy today in mail. But I still don't have any info on level range I really trust. Any help?

The optimal range for Estradiol is about 22-30 pg/dL. You are probably aware that Testosterone is metabolized to Estradiol when it interacts with the aromatase enzyme - and to DHT through the 5 alpha reductase enzyme.

If you tend gain fat easily and have female fat deposits then it is likely you will need an aromatase inhibitor. On the other hand, if you are more prone to DHT side effects such as a receding hair line, then you may be more prone to excess reductase activity.

You can reduce aromatase activity and decrease conversion to Estradiol by limiting coffee and alcohol to one drink per day, wearing loose pants, underware and resolving scrotal vericocles.

I've never really taken notice of the loose underwear etc stuff - if anything, in my opinion the amount of aromatisation a man suffers from is hardly impacted by choosing to wear good-fit boxers lol
But, everybody is different - so I don't speak for everyone.

Understood.

The basis is that leydig cells are more suseptible to oxygen deprivation than sertoli cells. Tight britches/pants can deprive the leydig cells from producing testosterone while the sertoli cells will continue producing estradiol.

Same concept with the vericocele...

Yes, I've read that and I have no true argument with the science behind it, just the personal opinion that it shouldn't be a massive problem for the average man. Bigger issues regarding E2 and the rest are foods/liquids containing estrogen etc. However, I am happy to see someone who knows his stuff, I'd drop you karma, but don't seem to have enough lol.

Thx James. I'm just taking test on my own. My doc said he can only give me cream I don't want that. I guess I'm looking to run test on my own and see how I feel that will determine what I will do. I'm not looking to gain weight or get big. Just want to get better workouts and maybe feel little younger

Ok bro, no problem. Hgb is a complete blood count, red/white blood cells etc. Psa is a test regarding the prostate. I just thought I'd add that incase it helps. Idealy it is best to get a complete hormone panel done through an endo or privae labs before hitting test as you need to make sure everything is ticking the right way, if you know what I mean. Are you trying to be placed on trt by a doc, your levels seem low/average?

Yeah I don't think he ran that. The only thing I see is psa .378ng/ml and there is something called Hgb 14.7 g/dl thx for help.

James what other results would u b looking for? He didn't run my free test. He did run bunch of other which I can write but everything was normal I.e. cholesterols, liver, but I would b willing to share anything on there if u feel it would help.with results I got I plan on running 125mg cyp once week. Going for blood again in 2 to 4 weeks depends on when I call him.i obviously have to see how I feel but my starting point is to get total test to 6 or 7 hundred and keep e2 in check and go from there.

Hey bro, did you get the SHBG tested etc?

The E2 range for men generally is between 0 - 50, with 20 - 30 being good for some people.

High/low E2 can affect your SHGB level. A high SHBG can cause test to become inactive as it is bound up, so if your E2 is 20 which is low enough usually for a man but your SHGB is high, any test you take could partially be bound up and inactive. Although, if your SHGB is low and your E2 is low, this is a good indicator that everything is in range and if you manage to keep them low, your test c will benefit you much better. It is important to know that we are all different genetically, so what might be right for one might not be right for others. Are you not able to discuss ranges/bloods with your doctor? If they are being awkward, just demand to know as, truthfully they are the best people to ask really, bro - they have the correct information at their fingertips but can be 'pricky' about it, they expect us to just take their word for it.

An e2 level of 20-ish is good, but it can vary from man to man. Write up the results bro, and some dudes will likely chime in to help.
