Does anyone have difficulty with intermittent, but persistent edema(water retention)?

ad

I began my first attempt at TRT or cycle 3 weeks ago, Test E, at 250mg a week, divided into two injections(125mg x 2)

The second week I began Arimidex 1mg EOD, due to water retention, I soon changed that to 1mg ED, and I still have the problem of swollen ankles and puffy hands. I have cut out any obvious sodium, and still have the problem.

Today I drank a lot of coffee (don't normally) for it's diuretic effect, and it helped.

I am age 43, 6'0 tall, 275lbs, 30%BF. I know that is too high, but the test is really helping otherwise, I am motivated, and been working out hard again, additionally, I have not slept this well in years. So I see many positives to the cruise thing.

Can this be an aromatase issue due to excess bf?

I appreciate anyone'e help or input,

Thank you.

Start the Aromasin at 12.5 ED then see if your side effects reside if not jump up too 25 mg ED mate...

Sorry to get in this late Tenacity... I don't have much to offer to help you resolve your water retention. I am very similar in many ways, 51, 6'-1", 270# 35%BF last June/July. As I went on Cycle last yr, against everybody's urging, Ending up w/600mg Sus & 250mg Deca/wk. I experienced a lot of water bloat...I went off cycle in December 11 cause my Doc didn't like my blood work

Short version...I'm interested in the diuretics as I'm still having some strain on my kidneys. As of Saturday 2-25, I'm now 252# 16% BF. I hit the gym at least 5 days a week, lifting a mix of heavy(lower reps 6-12)and also lighter(higher reps15-20)with 30-45 mins cardio 5x/wk. Just got new lab results today will post result within a couple of days. I'll be watching this. Thanks for everyopne that posted on this!

Update...Here is the new Bloodwork

Sounds like edema have you had your kidneys checked out, im thinking you have slow kidney function, mild cace of congestive heart failure, maybe some mild diuretics will help you. Is it happening after hard workouts like the next few days after, you might have a supper high cpk level possible excess muscle breakdown. Test not good? is it from a compound rx? change brands,,,taking any creatine? if so cut it out,,, a few things to think about,

No heart failure or bad kidneys. I also stand for 8hrs at my job, it was showing up after 5hrs or so on my feet. I was taking creatine prior to workouts. Test was Sciroxx.

Update...last night I took an OTC diuretic and it helped, I can see my ankle bones again, still kinda puffy, but better.

I got the Arimidex from Anabolic Body. I gave some to a friend until his arrived, and it worked for him to reduce bloat, so I think it's legit.

I was considering switching to exemestane or letrozole until I can get my bf% down to a more manageable level. Any input on that anyone?

Also, something else I noticed is that pre-HRT I used to crave ice cream, candy and sweets like a pregnant woman or something. Now, I tend to crave beef.

I found some info saying that water retention was sometimes a side effect "for the first few months"...

I took my 2nd diuretic pill today, otherwise my feet feel like inflated balloons, and are uncomfortable. BP is 146/71 today, systolic is up slightly, which was my mail cause for worry with the fluid retention. This is on the water pill, I did not check when edema was at the worst, didn't want to know.

After 6 self-injections, I am no longer needle shy, and may eventually switch to test prop, but I just got 5 bottles of test E :(

Sgtstedanko asked me if I was sleeping, yes, I slept 11 hrs last night and have not slept this well in years. I am working out 5x a week, 30-60 min cardio each time, and still gaining size, weight is staying the same or slightly higher, hard to tell since so much of it is water.

I have not reduced my dosage yet, I inject Mon am and Thurs pm. Based on my current dosage of 250mg a week, what amount would you recommend I reduce it?

Thank you for your help.

I drink close to a gallon a day of water, it was one of the first things I tried.

I do not add salt to anything, but I did not know canned tuna was high in sodium either. I will have to really check everything. Diet is fairly clean, lots of chicken breasts, tuna, oatmeal. I am trying to do this right, but I do need to add more vegetables.
