+ 2 Crestor be gone.
ad
Studying here, there, and everywhere - talked to my doc, who is in on my secret - and she has indicated 'drop the statin' and we'll test bloods in 3 mos.
Currently, and for a while, I'm taking 40mg of Crestor a day.
Anything out of the ordinary I should expect in this process? I'm not going to start pissing blue or grow a finger out of kneecap or something, right?
I've taken it religiously since CABG 10 years ago, so it's a (mental) big deal to quit it, but a complete diet change, living right, and outstanding bloods indicate it's time to get off this poison.

I was able to stop lovastatin 40mg after about 2 years. With living and eating right with added cardio. It caused my muscles to cramp and ache. I do have less pain but I think some damage has been done and that ill always have the pain. I really wished I'd researched that poison better.
Oh wow, Crestor...My mortal nemesis.
No, really though, I was on a cycle like 8 years ago, and my cholesterol numbers were just a little out of range on the high side. It was the second month in a row that my numbers were high, so my doctor prescribed me Crestor.
So I began to take it, not questioning my doctor at all. Maybe I shouldn't, but I trust doctors. They go to a hell of a lot of school and they have pledged to keep their patients best interest at heart.
A few days into taking it I started to feel really sluggish. I was getting a full night's sleep but throughout the day I felt like I hadn't slept at all. And then a couple days after that my muscles began to feel weak and incredibly sore. Like just waking up in the morning everything ate. I was having trouble gripping things so I decided to take a break from the gym.
So I looked online at potential side effects of Crestor. One of the rarer side effects of this medication is rhabdomyolosis. Here's a something I just found on WebMD:
"The FDA is providing up-to-date information about the risk of serious muscle damage - called rhabdomyolysis -- in patients taking Crestor as well as similar drugs, called statins. This is a well-known, rare side effect of all statins, it says.
Rhabdomyolysis is a condition in which muscle cells break down. This floods the blood with muscle proteins, sometimes leading to fatal kidney failure.*
So after discovering the probable cause of my malaise, I met with my doctor and told them about how I was feeling and what I had found on found, from reputable sources, on the web. He replied by stating that he had never heard of Crestor causing that and that I should continue taking it. I told him I wouldn't and I went and found a new primary care physician.
This site is about AAS. They are drugs/medications. I've done tons of research on this site and other sites to keep myself informed of what I am putting in my body. It's always risk versus reward, so I just plead with everyone to please inform yourself about exactly what you're putting in your body.

Molinin302I'm not a Dr, but it sounds like you're doing everything that you should be already. Best wishes with the adjustment, I'm sure you already have Aspirin on hand.
