40 this year... Just had blood work done.

ad

WBCC 7.3
RBCC 5.05
Hematocrit 44.2%
T4, FREE 1.2 ng/dl
TSH 1.34 (.40 - 4.50 mIU/L)
TESTOSTERONE, TOTAL, MALES 392 (241 - 827 ng/dl)

Vitamin D was middle of the road (low hehe).

They would not test estrogen/estradiol without a full physical. Of course, they told me I was "normal". I don't feel normal. Just two years ago my T tested at just over 640 ng/dl. This test was done first thing in the morning. The recent test results were from blood drawn at 3:40pm so I expected a number lower than 640 but not 392. Yikes! Help me bros!

Symptoms:
Drastically lowered libido, erections not as firm, no ED, can't put on muscle, about 20lbs overweight, loss of energy, mental fogginess, lack of motivation, diminished sense of well being.

Thanks guys for your input. It's much appreciated.

I've been having my blood work done reguery for abou the last 10 yrs. usually at least twice a year
When I first did Testing my testosterone was 253ng. And had all the normal signs of low T. Dr put me on test E. , 2 weeks later retested and I was in the 700s. Then another 2 weeks later was closer to 800. And immediately felt 100% better
I used one if the best trt dr around who has written books on hrt , I do half cc twice week to keep blood levels even flowing ;)

ONTHEGRID88's picture

I'm using the same protocol except with Test Cyp. Did your doc prescribe an AI and HCG? HCG improves libido for many.

Bradd's picture

Very nice bro! Getting your T levels checked and at proper levels will make a world of difference on your mood, etc. Give it time for the best results to come in but you are on the right track!

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Thanks Bradd. It's finally kicking in and I must say, I feel like fucking Superman. Might need to dial back my dose some.... Nah!

Deebles's picture

Shit, man.. those symptoms sound familiar. Good luck with the TRT. Keep the forum posted if/when you get your labs.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Definitely will post when I have labs. I'm already feeling a world better and the Test hasn't fully kicked in yet. Best wishes to you too bro. Eroids is like a brotherhood (and sisterhood for the ladies) to me. So many exceptional people here encouraging and educating others in need. Those that sacrifice their time and dispense valuable info don't need karma under their avi; they have plenty of the kind that genuinely counts in this life. I'm extraordinarily grateful to have befriended such kindhearted and dedicated members and Mods here. Eroids has been a blessing to me. I'm no bodybuilder but I must admit... Testosterone feels F'ing fantastic! Hell, I may even take up the sport! Seeing a man like Viking still killing it at his age makes me re-evaluate where I want to be and where I can be if I work for it.

jasm87's picture

Awesome bro, Im glad things are looking up for you. The lack of gains, physical growth and mental fog/mixed up head are the worst symptoms I've ever experianced in past, I had an utter lack of motivation and no doctor wanted to help despite my test level being at pathetic 8, I was 20 years old at the time and I looked 15, it destroyed my life. I'm older now and eventually got the help I needed... I'm gaining the way a man genetically could and living the way a normal man should. Things have gotten better for me, this is why I am happy you are on the right track again bro. No one deserves to go through hell over hormone issues that are easily treatable, it could save lives but so called medical experts hardly give a shit.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Well put jasm87. I agree.

jasm87's picture

I hear you brother, you'll gradually notice your life getting back on track and it gives you a good sense of well being so live your life to the full my man. As others have stated, keep us updated - we are all brothers in this and we all know how lack of the right hormone can affect us. I'd up your karma if I could despite you finding internet karma unecessary from your post, just for the fact that you've taken steps to sort your life out

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Having good friends IS good karma brother! I plan on doing blood work and periodically chronicling my journey here. Thanks for the words of encouragement and support!

ONTHEGRID88's picture

First IM injection = smooth as butter.

MegaT883's picture

What I would like to know is what your Free Test levels are and what your estradiol levels are that is where you'll find the answer to the problem.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Well my man MegaT883, they wouldn't test for that without doing a complete physical. I'm on TRT right now so I may opt to do a 12 week cycle or so and then PCT and get the physical. Day 15 and I already feel a world better and the Cyp hasn't even kicked in yet. If/When I get the complete physical, I'll post my blood work for all to see.

All the symptoms you mentioned are classic signs of testosterone deficiency. Get rid of it by using Ageless Male, a supplement consisting of fenugreek seed extract that accelerates testosterone production in the body. Don’t get fooled by Ageless Male scam reviews – this supplement has been used by lots of men with excellent results and absolutely no side effects.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Bro I've tried every herb and vitamin under the sun. Testofen®, Fenugreek Extract, Tongkat Ali, Horny Goat Weed, Maca, Zinc, Pine Pollen Tincture, Deer Velvet Antler, Garlic, Polyrachis Ant Extract, Cistanche Tubulosa, D-Aspartic Acid, Tribulus, even a Ball Zinger! Nothing boosted my T over a few measly points. I'd love to stay natural but for some reason, my nuts don't want to produce T after my vasectomy. I appreciate the effort though. ;)

rhondagraymond's picture

hey bro, you've tried a lot of stuff man! i couldn't help but notice that you hadn't mentioned Withania somnifera aka ashwagandha. It's also herbal with no side effects. since you've tried all this , give this a shot too. hope it works for you man! have it everyday for 2 months at least. Honestly, if you've tried all that then I'm not sure if ashwagandha will make any difference but there's no harm in trying as it has no side effects and it'll at least improve your overall health. And if you start producing T ..that would b F*** awesome! all the best man! Here I'm posting a link for you to research more about it http://www.ayurvediccure.com/ashwagandha_herb.htm

also before ending this post, i read somewhere that squats in some way assist in testosterone levels. I'm not sure about it. Thought I'd mention. Maybe find some yoga poses too. All the best! Smile

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Thanks for the info rhondagraymond! I may give it a try. And yes, squats (leg work and large muscle groups) increase T more than any other exercise. I believe my problem is that somehow during my vasectomy, my testes were damaged. No herb in the world will work if your testes (leydig cells) won't convert cholesterol into Test. I may stay on my TRT protocol for 12 - 16 weeks and attempt a reboot of the HPTA. Right now, I am 2 weeks in and will need at least another week or two to feel the effects of the Test Cyp.

And yeah... I've tried a ton of herbs. I've blown thousands of dollars having herbs shipped from India, Europe, Thailand, etc. Always tried to be as natural as possible. I also made sure to purchase the highest quality supplements available. No dice.

Pale's picture

I had my vasectomy done in my 20's, 39 now. Does that effect T? I have always wondered

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Well, in my case the answer is a resounding "YES IT DID". My urologist said that it wouldn't effect anything except my ability to procreate. My brothers both had a vasectomy and neither of them have T as low as me (granted I'm the oldest). One and one half years after my vasectomy and my T had fallen over 250 ng/dl. I was under the impression that it was harmless. I also assumed it was healthier for me to get "fixed" than my wife. No wonder they neuter dogs! I recommend getting your total T and free T checked. I was shocked!

BTW, I've followed all the advice on that site. Next to no increase in T. I think the vasectomy damaged my leydig cells ability to produce T somehow. No worries. I'm on T now and I'm gonna be buff. Hope I don't see that quack of a urologist on the street. ;)

Kronos's picture

Excelent article. I had Vasectomy done about 8 Years ago and my Test levels are around 715.42ng/dL, and I am 42 years old. My last Cycle was done 2 years ago. Did have epididymitis about 6 years ago;it hurts alot and 1 of my Nuts was the size of a Baseball. Hope Dementia does not happen. Been Horny as Hell, having trouble reminding things, but I believe is age related.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

That's good that you retained your T production. No one else in my family suffered the same fate from vasectomy as I did. :(

On the plus side, now at day 13, I'm feeling even better! I can't wait to see where I'm at another week or two from now. My memory is sharp once more! The wood I'm sporting at night is insane. Libido hasn't kicked in yet but I don't really expect it to for another week or so. Thank God I found Eroids and have made friends to discuss these matters with. Nobody should ever have to go through this alone.

Kronos's picture

I am not sure, but maybe the weight lifting and runing 30+ miles a week helped in the Testosterone production. I have read that when doing enough exercise the Test production rises. Someone on the Forum with experience might clear this issue.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

It does buddy. But in my case, I was doing all of that and was still putting on fumes. lol Before my vasectomy at age 37, my T was in the mid/high 600's. And believe me, with TT levels of 400 ng/dl, I didn't feel like doing it but I did. At least now I don't have to worry about my T levels. Just have to control estrogen, hematocrit, cholesterol and blood pressure. Small price to pay to feel like a human being again.

BTW, those are excellent number for your age! Keep up the good work!

Kronos's picture

I been feeling very tired lately, I am not sure what is causing it ( that is why I know my Test #'s). I do take Neurobion 25,000IU (Vitamin B )every 2 months. But this is since the Vasectomy...I was thinking about doing Blood work to check Female Hormones, but not sure. Do you have those issues about feeling tired? Please advice what should I look for in the Bloodwork. Did not know Estrogen was affected because of Vasectomy,I should read more!!! Thanks for your Help.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Could be adrenal or your thyroid. I take sublingual B12 spray and a quality multi. My energy loss was due to low T. I'm bouncing off the frickin' walls now! Knowing your T levels is only part of the formula. You also need to see your TSH, T3, T4, LH, FSH, Cortisol, Prolactin, Estrogen, Estradiol, DHT and Free T. My tests revealed good LH and FSH numbers but low T. My nuts just didn't agree with the snipping of the vas deferens or were perhaps injured during the operation. Man wasn't meant to be neutered! After three boys though... I was DONE!

Kronos's picture

HaHaHA. I was not happy neither about getting Neutered, After 3 girls my wife was NUTS, since I was the one that on purpose got her pregnant (wanted a big family). Thanks for that Info...I will get those tests done immediately. There must be something wrong, cause I am tired for work, exercise, and feeling sluggish, but HORNY as hell. It must be hormone related. I will post my results once I have them for some advice!!!

ONTHEGRID88's picture

My wife is the one that wanted the big family. She changed her tune after our second son was born. LOL She begged me to get fixed. I was extremely potent and the wait to get in to see my Uro was 3 months for the Vas. We only did it once during that time frame and BOOM... child #3. haha

Keep me posted on your blood work results. Many things can cause fatigue. Hopefully in another week I'll be HORNY as hell too! Best wishes to you Kronos!

Bro I'm 28 and I'm 387 on my last one. I've been seriously contemplating TRT. Idk how you feel at 40, but I don't usually feel 28 and male lol.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Bro... I felt like I was heading to my grave. I was constantly tired, had diminished libido, weaker erections, depressed, felt weaker, irritable, couldn't concentrate, etc. I'm 11 days into my TRT @ 100mg twice per week of Test Cyp. I bought mine from Censored. It's way too early to tell how I will feel. Most people say that the effects are noticeable between 2 - 8 weeks. I already have a much improved sense of well being and my depression is gone! No increase in libido yet but my nocturnal erections could cut diamonds. I've never had ED but my erections were not as firm as when I was younger and did not last as long. My wife is a hot 26 year old so I couldn't just roll over and die. lol I'm no bodybuilder. I just want to be at the top of my game for my wife, kids and employer. There are so many knowledgable guys here on Eroids and many have taken the time to help me out.

I felt fantastic up until age 37. After my wife and I had our last child, I had a vasectomy and it's been downhill since. My T levels went from mid/high 600's to 392 over a period of 1.5 years. My face is starting to break out some. I bought some Super Prop from Censored and am seriously considering pinning just to see how I'll feel in another few weeks. I'm hesitant though as my wife is sick and not in the mood. I"ve heard that prop will make your libido skyrocket and give you wood like when you were a teenager. Still... I'm tempted. haha

There are a number of things you can do to naturally boost your T. At 28, my T was extremely high but I am older and was raised more old fashioned. I would suggest that you have a full blood test for Estrogen, Estradiol, LH, FSH, Prolactin, T, Free T, etc. I believe it is rare to have secondary hypogonadism at your age but I know it is becoming more and more common. I believe a member called Tread-M is extremely experienced at TRT. I would ask him for his thoughts. I sent him a FR but it hasn't been accepted yet. I wish you the best man and let me know if I can help out in any way.

phydo's picture

Might wanna edit that. source discussion in this forum is frowned upon.

edit: and yes my test was done first thing in the morning for the 382. I've seriously been contemplating it. When I was on my first cycle there was a reasonable demeanor change within a short amount of time and it was very welcome. I was confident, attracted girls, friendly with everyone. Now I'm depressed (although in pct). It's just a pain

and edit: I ran 12 weeks test e 500/wk for my first cycle. for weeks 13 and 14 I ran test prop 150 eod from the same guy you got yours from and I gotta say my next cycle I'm running prop. It's some seriously awesome stuff. Less bloat too. Bloating on E was horrible

ONTHEGRID88's picture

I will edit the post when I have the option.

I've heard that some get bad bloat from Test Cyp and some get bad bloat from Test Enan. Everyone's different. My energy is really improving but my libido is still near non-existant. I've been told that it can take time with long esters. I don't know about running Prop for TRT though... that's a lot of pinning and scar tissue. I was told that Prop would bring my libido back (and in overdrive) within 24 hours. I'm so tempted but may just stay the course.

T_luva's picture

Sup OTG... I've been on TRT for over 5 years now, numerous docs that didn't seem to know their ass from a hole in the ground. So I decided to experiment with dosages, esters and so fourth.... For me, prop doesn't require a long commitment.... during cruise, I'll switch back n fourth from long to short esters, maybe hitting prop EOD @ 50mgs for 30 days, then back to cypionate @125mgs per week for a few months, then switch to enanthate. Try pinning prop for 4-8 injections to see if you can feel a difference, Give it a shot, hehe.... you may love it, may not. You can always fall back into cyp/enth..... You could go 100mgs EOD for 14 days to give you that boost your looking for and then ease off @50mgs EOD. I've tried ED injections but that really seems to elevate my blood pressure and heart rate.... just some ideas brotha ~~~~ later

Sending FR for some advice

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Gonna FR you bud. So good to hear from someone with TRT experience. I sent a FR to tread-m as I've read he's the resident guru on TRT. 12 days in to TRT and all I've noticed is a lift of mental fog, less depression and pimples. haha Haven't had acne since my teens. My supplier recommended 200mgs per week of Test Cyp. I'm also taking Apple Cider Vinegar, Hawthorne Berry Extract and CoQ10 for blood pressure. Hypertension runs in my family. Also got some no-flush niacin to keep my cholesterol in check. Thanks for the suggestions (especially the detail) and I hope we can stay in touch. cya

ONTHEGRID88's picture

@oversteerisbest

First, thank you for the response and the advice. My diet is on point. I never drink alcohol. I sleep a solid 6 - 8 hours per night. I exercise at least 3x's/W though I have little motivation or energy to do so. As I stated, I'm 39 years old (married to a hot 26 year old) and have three young boys. One of my kids is ADHD and more than a handful. I also have an extremely high stress job.

I've ordered 3 vials of Pfizer Pharmaceutical Testosterone Cypionate from a trusted friend here. He suggested I start out at 200mg/W and 1mg Adex twice a week to control Estrogen. I can't wait to feel "normal" again.

oversteerisbest's picture

That sounds like a good routine, Id recommend breaking down the dosing to 100mg 2x as often to keep levels more steady. I was on a cyp every 10 days per my doctor, and someone on here recommended I cut the dosage but increase the frequency and with less "spikes" in test levels, I feel much better.

ONTHEGRID88's picture

Thanks man. I wasn't about to try going two weeks between injections. I'll give it a shot. (Pun intended)

oversteerisbest's picture

Hows your diet? How much sleep do you get every night? Do you exercise regularly? Any major stress factors? Alcohol use?

If the answer to these are all good/plently/etc, you might consider your own TRT (or find a doc that will prescribe based on symptoms without lab work). I have done so myself, at 22 years old, because I felt all those symptoms, was doing everything right, etc, and my test level was 300-400, when three years ago (natural) it was around 1100 so the doctors were saying Im still in the normal range but Im saying look guys, Im 22, and my level has dropped 700ng. So I did it myself.

Test E and Test C are cheap and readily available and are the most commonly used in replacement therapy.
