Where my early birds and insomniacs at?

ad

I tend to wake up about 2-3am every morning, I used to just lay there for a few hours until I fell asleep, annoyed that I was even awake . Now I use it for productivity, to catch up on work, news, bullshit like this and by 5-6 I'm either ready for a 2hour nap or awake for the whole day. If I don't wake up at 2-3 I'm up by 530 anyways so it's a good start to the day. I've considered hitting the gym at this hour but it seems too early for that and I hate driving at night.
How do you other folks handle your witching hours?

Wow and I thought waking up at 5am was early. But yeah if I were you I'd probably hit the gym at 3. Might as well if you're awake. Just make sure you're getting enough sleep.

I’m up at 5am every morning. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I usually take two hits off my THC Vape pen and conk right out again. If I don’t, I can lay there for hours and have a shitty day. For those that don’t smoke weed,, the Delta 8 pens that you can buy in a convenience store also work to fall back to sleep quickly. Someone on here recently suggested eating a yogurt or cottage cheese before bed and it been working great for me when I remember to do it. It’s difficult if I’m not hungry though

I've found when this happens to me to just get up shower and have a cup of coffee ya know get ready for work. Usually by 430 I'm napping and my day goes alright.
If I just toss and turn the nap doesn't come till I actually have to get ready

The way I see waking up early is you got the rest needed and love your life enough that you want to get up and achieve your goals. Once every 1-3 weeks I’ll sleep in but when I notice I’m sleeping in and not wanting to get going it’s time to change what I’m doing because obviously i don’t like my life and not motivated to utilize my time and improve. I go to sleep between 11-2:30 and up 2:30-5 always keep an alarm set for 5 but 90% I wake up before it

I completely agree. I rarely sleep in anymore

Past 10-12 years i wake for 2-3hrs. 11a-1a, 12a-2a, 2a-4a. I make something to eat and then binge watch a series of something before getting tired again then sleep till 6am for work. Tried everything known to man to stay asleep for 8hrs straight or even to fall right back asleep. I gave up after the 100th try. Right now im binging the "Animal Kingdom" series for the 2hrs. I dont wake up tired though, i still wake up ready to go.

When I wake up during the night after say 4 or 5 hours its always because I need to eat and drink even if it doesn't feel like it while laid in bed. Seriously bud just get up and have a slice of toast and a drink and I guarantee you will fall back to sleep when getting into bed again.

I use to think it was a curse. I have insomnia. I can fall asleep but don't stay asleep. I'm lucky enough to be fresh on two hours, but I tend to get 3-4 in before I get frustrated and get up to make breakfast. This is usually at 3 or 4am. I've since turned it into a super power. I get more shit done that most anyone I know. The military instills habits in you that will never go away and this is one of them. Sleep depravation along with a sprinkle of PTSD and there's nothing you can't do. I make egg whites and waffles when I get up and knock out any underlying work I have for my consulting company way before anyone else wakes up. I haven't needed an alarm clock in 20 years. People think the grind starts when the sun comes out. The grind starts in the dark when nobody sees you. When nobody knows what youre doing. You wanna get jacked? Want to be successful? Want to make 40K+ a month. Do what I do. Get your ass up, get to the gym, take definitive steps toward your goals and you will win.

Gotta quote goggins after all that. "Don't stop when you're tired...stop when you're done!"

Fuck yeh!!! Can’t stand people working 40/hr week at dead end job blowing their money and act like they’re doing everything possible

I've read both, they're both on a different level, mark Wahlberg is a perfect example of an efficiency nut, wastes no time. Dwayne is more of a fitness addict, both guys are in phenomenal shape and the example of what to strive for at 50.

Me-my son (2) is such a horrible sleeper that I have to sleep with him and now I’m used to waking up multiple times like a subconscious timer expecting to check up on him. I only sleep 4 or 5 hours a night.
