+ 1 Weakened immune system / high test levels
ad
Here I am again crashed out in the bed. Horrible congestion. Last weekend caught a 2 day stomach virus. A month before that I had FLU. I take vitamins daily, don't take in much sugary, sweet foods. Eat pretty healthy. Don't drink/party. Exercise 4 days out of the week and feel like my body is constantly fighting some cold/bug. I've read that high hormone levels can weaken the immune system but damn. Anyone else? Blood tests are good. Elevated cholesterol issues while running higher than TRT dose but that is it.

I used to always be sick to. But i was over training.
I've been sick once in the last 3 yrs. I'm sorry to hear of your health complications bud, I hope that you get to feeling better and have a sustained run of good health.
I've got really good immunity and don't get ill much. High hormones haven't seemed to negatively effect it
Everyone should consider a longterm alkaline detox.
Its "LONG COVID"

Yep. I have the same kind of issues which started after i got covid. Wheezing/coughing, shortness of breath, stomach aches and whatnot every couple weeks. Been this way since December 2023. No signs of stopping.
That's wild.
Dude idk what it is but I’ve been in a similar rut. For like maybe 8 months now it’s just been problem after problem. I went like 30 years without being sick but maybe once every 5 years. Now in these 8 months I’ve just felt like absolute shite. I’ll be good for like two weeks and then just sore and nauseous for two days and then fine for awhile and then puking for two days with a bug. That goes away and then two weeks later a fever and chills for a day or two and then constipated like death with nausea for a month. I feel like a weak little pussy that needs to be like bubble boy.
Yea man, same. Like 8 months for me too. Did you get covid before it all started?
Not that I’m aware of. I don’t think I’ve ever had it
Damn hate hearing this. I've been under the weather myself for a week, maybe a little less. I was thinking allergies. In my opinion there is no doubt that high hormone levels can and will lower the immune system's strength. Alot of folks don't realize this but alot of times test flu is the result of the immune system reacting to either higher amounts of hormone all of a sudden or some other chemical or substance the body views as foreign. I see you're taking vitamins so that's a start. Right now I'd really concentrate on vitamin c though but in smaller 500mg doses several times a day. Creatinehcl has a good list below...wish you well man.
I found when I use to run Tren a lot I was always getting ill with colds and stomach upsets, Anadrol kinda did the same thing and often made me feel under the weather. Test and NPP I tend to be much better on but I still think AAS aren't good for the immune system in general - you are constantly injecting through the bodies own natural defence system (the skin) straight into the bloodstream more or less. Also we really don't know how sterile any of the environments are that all this gear is made in ultimately.
Yeah.. Ive read that high testosterone levels really weaken the immune system so I know it definitely plays a part. It's just me and the wife here and she is NEVER sick but anytime a bug is affecting folks at work or in the community I'm down for some days with the shit. I also have my health on the front of my mind daily so everyday I'm doing everything I can to make sure I'm eating as healthy / keeping as healthy as possible
Also remember mate that in running AAS you are a lot stronger than normal now, and when you are lifting heavier weight that is very taxing on the nervous system and immune system in general. When those 2 things are constantly being tested and blown out, your body has less energy to fight illness and infections. Ever notice how shit you feel after a heavy bench session the day after because of all the stress and weight channelling through the back and spine?! Squats and Deads are even worse for it.
Primo is purported to boost immune system. Maybe ger your bloods in order and bump primo? Hgh ?
Bloods are in order
Using hgh? Look at primo?

Good read.
Never ran either, @Jockstrap. But have been planning on running growth over this summer. Appreciate the advice
Good luck
I would recommend you NAC min 1000mg per day. When you get sick or you feel an illness coming 3-5 grams of vitamin C every day. Vitamin D min 5000iu, preferably 10000iu every day. The multivitamin is only there for basic needs. The doses in it are insufficient when you need stronger immunity. For those of you who have allergies, pollen and the like, quercetin and bromelain. Also good for sinus problems/stuffy nose.
Brother add in some elderberry, I take it every evening, haven’t gotten sick in 4 years. Even when I’m subjected to contagious viruses like strep in my house, I’m the one that always dodges it. It’s high in vitamin C, powerful antioxidant and really strengthens the immune system.
Good info just ran out grabbed some. Thanks
No prob. Be sure to take it everyday, dinner is a good time.
What was your stack? I moved north to a different state and kept getting sick. Once I jumped on cycle with low carb/calorie diet, I didn't get sick for about 4 years until covid. I was on 250mg off NPP and about 25mg of prop a week. Super low test.
500mg sustanon 375 npp an anadrol 50 here or there. Nothing close to crazy. I do live in a farming area and it's been raining for a month. I'm just so fucking tired of being under the fucking weather.
If you get frustrated enough, I'd swing it the other way and try low test and high NPP. Maybe pulse or back off A-drol and see if that helps.
I've heard to run it higher but I'm coming off in two weeks. As for the anadrol I take one occasionally on a leg day or back day when I want some extra gumption for the workout. I take a mens multivitamin, vitamin d, magnesium citrate, fish oil, l l-carnitine, ashwaghanda and digestive enzyme probiotic daily.
Man I feel ya. I take all those supplements you just mentioned as well as a few others and also live in a “farming area” with high pollen. These rainy months and the weather going from 75 degrees to 35 degrees in 24 hours has had me sick constantly the past 4 months. I’ve been wondering the same thing about the gear weakening my immune system. It sucks. I’ve had stomach bugs and bronchitis twice already this year. Lately I’ve been taking extra vitamin C supplement as well as drinking grape juice or any juice. It has helped some. I feel your pain!!!
It's been brutal. I haven't been 100% for more than a weeks time since damn Christmas. Picked up some elderberry gonna run that.
I even dropped like $125 on a Navage nasal cleaner a few months ago and my doctor started me on daily Singulair for allergies but neither has really helped the congestion either.
Singular isn’t effective against seasonal allergies, it isn’t an anti histamine
I bought a Nelimed Sinugator about a month ago as I always get hayfever and other allergies, probably similar to what you have where it sprays water up your nose and then when you blow it tonnes of mucus comes out!! Lol Does a really good job of cleaning the nose out, much better than just blowing.
I have terrible hay fever. Typically hits around mid August. If I don’t spray first thing every morning, my day turns to hell.
Bud its the sneezing that does my head in, especially if you get 10 in a row LMAO Ever noticed how the sneezes can hurt when you are on gear because your BP is higher - so that brief moment of the sneeze the BP spikes even higher!! I feel it in the shoulders, chest and arms where your arteries are LOL
If I let it trigger, I’ll sneeze and leak all day long. There is absolutely 0 relief until I go to sleep that night. I can spray and eat pills all day long with no positive effects. Only us that have experienced it know the misery.
I must admit buddy I do pretty well off those Antihistamine hayfever tablets, but I barely ever take them as they make me feel drowsy and can affect lifting. So when I do occasionally take one they seem to work really well. My dad lives on the things during the summer - he is always buying them by the packfulls and giving me sleeves of the damn things LMAO
