Revitalizing the forums

Okay so I am new to the forums but I sense that there isn't as much excitement as there once was there. What do you think could be done to renew interest? Any suggestions? I think this is a great community and I'm lucky and happy to be apart of it. I just would hate to see it die. I know the reviews will go on but I like the idea of this being a place where people can come gain knowledge from some of the many experienced guys and gals out there. Just a thought

Water's the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking was pretty much classic floyd, but Radio KAOS forward is hard to stomach.
Pro's and Con's is one of the best albums ever. Check out Rogers live DVD "In the Flesh".
Hell yeah, I agree. It's one of my favorites. Most people I talk to have never heard of it. I really liked their last album that they did together, "the final cut".
Waters live is awesome. I've seen him twice. dark side of the moon and the Wall. ( not the original tours)

I'm a huge floyd fan, but you're right about their stuff from the late 60s and early 70s( before 73). Syd Barrett is wierd mfer. Some of that stuff was like a psychodelic version of the Beatles. But then again, they did start out recording at Abbey Road studios, and the beatles were an influence on everybody in the mid to late 60s, especially brits.
Echos was good stuff. Obscured by clouds was a good album too. Just gotta make sure you got some good grass to truly appreciate it.

Meddle, Piper at the gates of dawn, Ummagumma, ( I mean, who wouldn't like a song titled "several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict?) I have the whole collection, including all of the solo stuff (syd's crap also). Have a lot of original vinyl too,LOL
you are right bro, psychedelic stuff doesnt do it for me...... none of it to be honest, but i do like noir stuff... i tend to play floyd after i have had my ears bleeding from the usual AC/DC, Deep Purple, Maiden loud stuff i listen to through the day lol

Stop giving people advice which entails "take clen to burn off the fat" Not asking for proofs, diet, training, or stats. I think that would be a great start, especially for you.
