Pre-employment Drug Screening

ad

Ok I have been running Test E @ 500/wk for 6 weeks now. I just received a job offer that will give me a 35% pay increase. Everything I've read says the only way they will know is if they test for it. I've decided to stop the test now and I'm thinking I won't run PCT until after drug test. I think the test will be in 3 or 4 weeks.I don't have a confirmed date yet. I have Nolva & Clomid on hand for PCT. Should I get over the counter PCT supp & someTribulus & start that in 2 weeks? This is a Govt job & not really sure what they test for, although I imagine it is still the regular drug test. Anyone with experience/ advice for this situation? I will update when I have confirmed date & again after the test with results. Hoping some can help me out here, I'm a little nervous. Thanks for the help.

I work for the government and, as luck would have it, one of the folks tasked to do UA's in new hires. Test and other aas is NOT tested for. Just looking for the obvious opiates, benzo's, weed, coke, amphetamines, etc. I'm pretty certain you've got to look for aas. Keep in mind, I speak only for the branch of government I work in. May not be universal.

Thanks for the information. I am feeling a lot better about the situation now after all the helpful comments. I will drop to 250/wk or start PCT, depending on when UA is scheduled. Thanks for the help everyone.

FR sent. I have an inquiry that you may, or may not, be able to answer. Thanks bro.

There are a plethora of legal drugs that elevate testosterone. You should be able to find out which test you have to take. Is it blood, or a urinalysis? From the research I have gathered over the past 15 years, the government uses gas chromatography/mass spectrum analysis, and doesn't mess around with radioimmunoassay or EMIT; however, this might have changed. Since testosterone occurs naturally in the body, it would be hard to consider this a drug of abuse, unless you were being specifically tested for a specific situation, like baseball, football, basketball, etc. At this point, if you stop your injections, then only your test levels will be lower. If they were looking for high test levels, then your results would be in question. And, if you are taking a test booster, then it is legal. Clomiphene and tamoxifen are not part of the SAP, so you are good there, even if you did want to do a six week cycle of test, and stop the injections. I will see if I can get some more information.

Thanks for the information. The more info the better. I'm 95% that it is UA test. I had one guy tell me they did blood work but he wasn't specific about it. Everyone else said it's a basic physical, UA, blood pressure, etc... Maybe that one person was referring to BP. I can get a legit Rx for androgel if I need to. Maybe that would be better to cruise on gel with script instead of skipping PCT? Thanks MedDx, I'll listen to any info or advice you have & take into consideration

MedDx's picture

Yes, I can see your point with a script, although I have only used Testim. And, when I used it, I wasn't too happy with its effectiveness. But, anyway, who is to say you are really applying it on your skin or under your arm, or wherever. You could say you are and that would explain any questions about your drugs of use.

Unless your new job is a professional athlete, you will NOT be tested for roids. I have worked for several HR departments and we have Never tested for roids, only illegal, mind/mood altering substances. It wouldn't make any sense to test for something like that, so don't let your fear run away with yourself. If you want to quit, then quit, but don't make the reason some pre-employment test that would never test for roids. Best of luck.

This is not accurate. I know for a fact that certain government jobs test for anabolic steroids. Although this may not be that prevalent it is a lot cheaper now to test for these substances.

vhman's picture

That is true, but the the amount of employers that actually test for anabolic steroids is around 1-2% (or less) of all employers. My point in saying this is that unless he is getting a "certain government" job or something similar, he won't be tested. HR departments have to test tons of people and cost is an issue and most companies only care about mind/mood altering substances. Are there some high-end jobs they will test you for PEDs, yes, but they are rare. Most companies just don't consider PEDs something to test for.

Darktide's picture

Yeah I agree with that.

it would be pointless, test enth has a long ester and it takes 3months for it to completely clear your system, so even if you cut it short, it will still show up. But they wont be testing for steroids, just cannibis, meth and all that shit. You'd be risking your health for no reason (by not running a pct)

jr42160's picture

I know it would be unusual to get tested for this, but it is just to big a pay increase to risk it IMO. Any thoughts on PCT with Clomid, Nolva? I just don't want anything showing up. I just started seeing large gains in the gym a few weeks ago & didn't want to cut it short, but missing out on the job because of abnormal test results is not worth it. I have a family & being able to provide for them is more important than finishing this first cycle. I Plan on picking up again after I start. Thanks for the replies, the more I read & hear the less likely I think they will test for this

Like crayon just said. Whether you stop now or don't it will still be in your system for 3 months. I would be stressed the hell out but those are the facts.

I don't think they test for testosterone.
They test for marijuana, cocaine, heroin and so on.
