ad
Okay Guy's - I have finally booked in for the first Covid 19 vaccine appointment tomorrow morning at 8am AAaagghhhhh!!
Being the scared M'Fker I am I've just looked up some of the common side effects of it Lol
For those of you who have had the Jab what were your experiences after it in terms of side effects? Were you still able to eat okay for the next few days?
Mod edit: Let's keep this about "People's experiences / Side effects of the Coved vaccine?" and not turn this into a vax v unvaxed debate.

PropheticWookieI read somewhere that there is more than one vaccine in Russia, there are like 2 or 3, I'm not sure. And their effectiveness is about the same, quite high and it is not recognized by us, this is a matter of policy. Is it so? or I am very wrong.
Well Press is now vaccinated and ready to Kick Ass!!! Lol
Whole thing was over 10 times quicker than it takes us to jab ourselves - they were giving out the Pfizer one which I was glad about
UPDATE: Think I spoke too soon here Lol
Bigboi50281And it's funny how Johnson and Johnson were the only ones that were given one shot instead of two shots and this says they're 66% effective and they're the ones that are given the booster shot eight months later now. And I heard I'm not sure if this is 100% true that some of it got recalled
Yeah when I saw that I figured they will be giving people another shot further down the line - I know someone who has had it so I'll ask him.
Bigboi50281Hey press my mom got the 2 shots a month apart from the pharmacy and the first 1 she said it didnt hurt when they gave it to her but the next 2 days she was on the couch complaining on the pain of her arm.and my.mom wont even take an asprin. Wander if others felt that way
I must admit my arm is beginning to ache a bit now, not really bad but you can feel it.
Mind you he did use a Green!! Lol
I forgot to mention that the pip felt like I was injected with tren base.
I agree that is definitely the worst part of it all - feels like someone has punched you hard in the side of the shoulder! Lol
TricepatopsIt will hurt for a few days but the 2nd one my shoulder wasn't sore at all. My first time my arm was sore as hell within 10 minutes. You will be good though most of the people at the hospital I am at had arm pain.
Bigboi50281Yea brother my mom said the same thing the second 1 no soreness at all
I’m not anti vax. Prior to spending a lot of time in the central/South America jungles last year I got hit with about every vax known to man and had no issues. I refuse to get the Covid vax.
Girlfriend got the Covid vax. First shot, no issues. Second shot she was bed ridden for 3 days. She seems fine now. This was about 4 months ago…
TricepatopsThe sides mean the vaccine is working and your body is building it's immune system up to fight off Covid. That's what people don't understand that the sides mean it is working some feel it more then others.
My wife and mother had no side effects from the moderna other than pip. Worst side effect that I personally know of an individual(board member of a swim team) in my small town was guillain barre syndrome. He has had a pretty rough time with speech and body movements.
No sides from either jab. Wife on second jab had a few sides, slight fever and aches. From what I understand from her (she is in medical field), is that about 40% get some flu like symptoms, on day 2, from second jab. last about 8-12 hrs. Still, I think it is worth it.
I had no side effects.
Nothing for Wife and Kids. I got a mild fever (PIP like) next day that 2 Tylenol took care of.
I see Greg mentioned Shingles. That once kicked my ass. OMG! You name it I got it. Fever, vomiting, headache but as he said I know people that got it and it’s worse than what I went through.
1st shot no problem at all. 2nd shot I ended up missing 4 days of work. 101 fever, chills, body aches, extremely lethargic. Lethargy lasted for over a week.
First Jab: Lethargic for one day, probably caught a throat bug due to my immune system being messed up (Nothing too bad)
Second Jab: Lethargic but less than the first jab and loads of coffee did help to still have a productive day.
first jab, no issue.
Second jab, felt hungover the morning after but started feeling ok around mid afternoon.
Cautionary Tale:
DO NOT OVER EXERT YOURSELF AFTER GETTING THE SHOTS!!
Your immune system will be compromised. Take supplements to improve/support your immune system and take it easy for several weeks. Undue stress, fatigue, etc. can make you vulnerable to other illnesses.
I did some heavy yard work in oppressive heat a few days after my second shot. I noticed what looked like a sunburn on my forehead that day, next day it looked like I had pink eye as well, day after that, I was in the ER for shingles. 3 months later I'm still healing, I only recently have been able to see with my infected eye and am still on pain meds. (albeit, the pain is less like molten lava and more like a bad sunburn these days... and that's with pain meds which include Oxy)
That said, the vaccine does not cause shingles. I had chicken pox when I was a kid. Shingles is a Herpes virus, with my weakened immune system, I was susceptible to a flair-up...my overexerting myself in the hot sun right after the vaccine shot probably tipped the scales to allow the flare-up.
Last note. Get the shingles vaccine as well. Putting mortality aside, I would have rather gotten Coved, Scurvy, and Syphilis all at once.
TricepatopsWell said Greg I am glad you said that. People are to worried about it and making up false things from getting the vaccine. Not saying anyone here is just that some say you will go sterile and grow a third eye and crazy stuff like that.
Thanks for your reply Greg
I have often heard from people it tends to be the second jab that gets you, feeling quite run down and lethargic etc so I will bear that in mind. I had chicken pox as a child also - my mother purposely stuck me in a room with the next door neighbours kid who had it when I was a child Lol I still get the occasional cold sore to this day too so I guess I have Herpes.
