Has anyone tried the BFST (or Inferno) to help heal a soft tissue injury? And did it work?

I agree about the heat. Heat only draws blood to the surface of the skin, so although it feels relaxing, it actually doesn't help the healing process at all and if anything, can cause more inflammation as mentioned. However, after enough cold therapy, you need to increase the blood flow. Cold constricts the blood flow, which initially is a good thing as you want to get down as much inflammation as possible, but from there, all injuries need blood flow in order to be able to heal. Increasing the blood flow increases the amount of nutrients and oxygen. Our body does do this naturally (brings blood flow to an injured area), but it is quite a slow process. I think anything that speeds up the bodies natural ability to do so, sounds good and quite beneficial.
Sorry, but there is no substitute for rest and TIME. You try to short change either and you'll prolong your healing. Be patient and take the time to heal. There really aren't any significant shortcuts.
All compression garments, ie sleeves, wraps, etc. increase blood flow in the area. The best system for healing is R.I.C.E.
Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation
You want to stay away from heat as that could lead to more inflammation.
If you haven't, look it over and let me know what you think. http://www.kingbrand.com/BFST-Home.php?REF=1105PV16.211
