+ 1 How to get my life back... life almost got me, now its my turn
ad
Title says it all... I was on top and smashing weights, then my little brother is murdered followed by my dad passing from covid few months later then gma, aunt, big cousin and almost me. I dropped from a happy jacked 230lbs to a depressed frail 185lbs currently. No matter what I do I can't eat. Appetite is nonexistent, that determination to go kill weights in the gym everyday is gone... barely go 2x a week and am embarrassed to lift. Today I looked in the mirror and snapped -- I need any help with tips for easy meals, quick bulks, motivation people to research, gear to try... any help is appreciated.

Actually reached out to a 5-10 head dr and not a 1 responded, that was 2 weeks ago. Guess they didn't like the "why you reaching out" answer...
So are you saying you caught Covid bud, but time has now passed and you got rid of it but your appetite is still non existent like it is when you have Covid? Or you have lost so much weight and feel so low that you do not want to eat?
Yes caught it twice, first time lost about 20lbs then 6-8 months later got it again and lost more... haven't been able to gain any back...
Its both. I used to eat ok but now just don't, no hunger or desire to eat. Used to crave foods or treats and now I can't pack away more than a few bites and I'm full.
I managed to catch it twice also, first time it killed my appetite for the first 3 days where I couldn't eat anything at all but then it came back 4th day and Covid itself went pretty soon after that as I had recently had the first jab. Second time I got it was a different story, barely ate anything for a week then got rid of the virus after 2 weeks. Unfortunately mate I also lost quite a bit of weight (about 7lb's each time) and some good strength each time I caught it and then it took about 2 to 3 weeks to get it back. If you have then lost further weight then naturally you will not have the same desire to eat until you carry as much muscle again. I know its a Real Bitch - but you just have to accept that strength and muscle has gone for the time being. Get back in the gym and train again and just enjoy lifting the bar again and see each time you get dressed in the morning you are filling out your clothes more and feeling better about yourself. You have to start from somewhere buddy otherwise if you keep leaving it you will lose everything and that will be very frustrating to come back from. Got to start plucking the positives out of things no matter how small and just keep aiming higher each session. Think of it this way - it could be waaaayyy worse, you could have a detached quad or pec off the bone which means you can't train properly for 6 months to a year with no choice in the matter
True, I tore my bicep off couple years back and definitely don't want to relive that... thank you for taking time to listen to my bs, its up & down on a daily basis but gonna grind while I'm around.
PropheticWookieInjuries are always a rollback in results and sometimes you have to come back for years. Health to you and less injuries.
After the first week you should feel better. Gym is a medicine that we sometimes don’t take. I just went through broken ribs and a car accident back to back and lost gains. It aucks losing it but I feel better now
I am sorry to hear all of that. Nothing wrong with talking to a therapist. You been dealing with a lot of shit. Can help you with moving past this.
RustyhookerYou lost your mental edge with good resons. Toss on a baggy shirt and just git some. Bout 2 weeks in and your body starts boosting those endorphines....YOU WILL GROW. Might seem goofy but that ct fletcher I COMMAND YOU TO GROW gets me amped. Headphones...tune out the world and do it. Figure bust ass and plan a simple new years blast off.
Man Rusty I've tried... multiple times and it gets worse due to injuries from not being in it mentally. I'm trying to find a partner to meet up with but nobody wants to bang weight... they wanna do curls and pushup. Hard to pump yourself up to hit heavy when there is no competition to feed off. A crazy ass blast will be amazing and probably help out mentally a bit im sure I'm a bit out of wack...
CloUSMCThis^^^^^ Just go. You’ll feel so much better. Pick up some feel good testosterone and cruise back into it. You got this my guy! My condolences.
