Fkn cancer, i looked after a guy with lung cancer and a brain tumor, from diagnosis to death was 7 months, he suffered bad, smoked ciggies his whole life and was a cocreter both contributing factors, i would drive him to chemo etc and its barely worth living it would make him so sick, the amount of meds he had to take just to function, hair would fall out etc he couldnt even shit, i looked after him everyday untill he died, one day he called out to me from the front room, he was lying upside down on the bed, i dialled an ambulance, he was trying to get blood to his brain he said, then he pulled a cigar out and lit it, he took a puff and died there and then. Fuck cancer.

Interesting post. I think there is a lot out there that modern western science has over looked.
The only thing I can absolutely agree with from first hand experience is immune system.. it seems like all the people I knew growing up who always got sick are now coming down or dropping dead with cancer =/

Cancer... my best friend has stage four breast cancer.. if the cancer doesn't kill her the treatment certainly is killing her in a slow painful way ... it breaks my heart really to see her like she is now. How to avoid Cancer? stop living ..
I'm so sorry grrl.. I understand and it is very devastating.. I know it seems like none of us know each other very well with this being over the internet but I can tell you're a very strong person and I'm sure you'll stay by her side the entire way for good or bad.
thanks Om.. it's been a horrible experience watching her deteriorate because of the treatment that is supposed to help her. And seeing all the side effects slowly rob her of the vital and beautiful person that she is ... She is an inspiration with her postive attitude inspite of everything ..

you do realize sugar is glucose which is the main macronutrient utilized by the body. glucose molecules power our bodies.
glucose is a common used radiotracer component used in PET scans (positron emission). for the machine to pick it up, a radioactive chemical is attached to sugar molecules and once inside the body the glucose with the chemical attached to it is broken down and picked up by the gamma rays emitted by the radiotracer.
glucose itself is harmless and is always abundant in the body. consuming sugar is not harmful at all. It is simply a medium used for a PET scan. I think you are a little mixed up on this discussion

by the way genetics have the biggest impact on if a person is highly susceptible for cancer. Some people are more tolerant to environmental factors than others. meaning 2 different people can eat the same foods, smoke cigarettes, and be exposed to the same environmental toxins - and it's possible only one of them gets cancer. it's all about genetics. of course extreme toxic chemicals also can activate cancer, but most other things are not as significant. you can't avoid everything bad, it's just not possible.

I certainly wasn't trying to offer any expertise on preventing cancer, just linking to some opposing arguments.
Cancer runs in my family, and I will probably die from it. I've come across so many different cancer prevention and curing methods online that I've become a skeptic at most of them.
I've read up on the DR. gerson methods, and about another dr. that injects tumors with baking soda, but when I dig deeper the results just don't seem to stand up.

unfortunately, genetics are what have the last word. It's true, you can do all the prevention and caution you want but at the end of the day genetics determine everything.

That's very informative. My father has lung cancer and is going through chemo now. The chemo is working and has shrunk his cancer spot down to peas. I'm going to talk with him about changing his diet but idk how that will go.
