How lifting effects your life

ad

Hey guys,

Do any of you guys use lifting as a way to keep in a positive mindset? ie either through fucking up your life before hand and then get your shit back together again?ie when you cant lift everything seems to go wrong it is a way of focusing, over the years i just see a pattern with it. ie i don't lift then i do excess of this or that and i don't have anything and i lose everything friends etc it's hard starting again and i'm just starting again not recently but for a while now it is hard getting not just muscle or gains but socially back with it. If bridges are burned, you have to start from scratch.

Any recommendations what to do?

Actually no im on the sauce, just thats my point even tren does not fuck with my head so much as i thought. I usually go of the rails with a deep depression isolate and try to self medicate, ie i was depressed before i found lifting then i was ok i had something meaningful, then i had to quit because i injured my knees they did not know what was wrong and told me i could not deadlift again, well im starting back on very low weight. i went bad for 3 years. Im actually pretty young in my 20's. i have found that depression actually took alot of experience of people away from me ie experience of friends, lovers and family experience , but when i lift i actually have something.

Lifting is great stress relief. It's a constructive way to spend idle time. It promotes self esteem and a positive self image. It's a great way to meet positive, like minded people.

You can fuck up all of that by injecting hormones in to your body with the wrong mindset. This is a steroid review site, so I'm assuming gear, or the thought of gear, is in there somewhere. If you're not ready mentally, you're not ready physically. I don't want to end this post on a downer, so go read my first paragraph again. Good luck to you.

I'm just vain and insecure enough that if I lost my gains, I would be emotionally destroyed. It's actually happened several times after making consistent progress and then I would fall off the wagon for one reason or another. Sometimes for a few months, sometimes for more than a year. But I always kept going back. And each time I returned I realized that I'd learned something new about myself. How to overcome disappointment. How to face failure. Realizing that being a perfectionist 100% of the time isn't possible. We all have our shortcomings and some of those may stay with us for the rest of our lives. But since we all are going to inevitably fuck up in life, you might as well have something to show for it. Just imagine running into the people you used to see, except this time what they see is the physical manifestation of your own will and determination, instead of some guy who thinks he isn't good enough. Find your motivation.

I am actually better person while lifting, it is just i dont want to ever go back to the 3 yrs of self hating bs and abusing my body but when that happens you isolate ppl. It's hard socially i mean to make all new friends again you lose confidence. Lifting seems to relax my mind like i am actually achieving something and it seems better than the alternative of nothing.Im most certainly always gonna cycle and keep lifting, i just lose perspective when i dont. For example you have to meet new ppl again it's hard maybe ill just do what Arnolds quotes where he saids i use my muscles as conversation pieces, like some one walking a cheetah lol.
