False positive on drug test
Hey Guys,
a question, I got pulled over in December in a road block police testing for drunk and drug drivers, I got a positive for methylamphetamine and thc, thing is I'm 48, I smoked some weed when I was 17-18. Never ever touched the other shit, as I do security, and have had to deal with a few crackheads over the years, I would never do that to myself. I want to know what may cause a false positive ? At the time I was on Clenbuteral, and as I work nights Phenergan to sleep, its active ingredient is promethazine, and had taken neurofen for some muscle soreness the day before, some laxatives the night before and 2:5 mg Ramipril a day for hypertension. I have not been on any Test or others for 3 years. Is there anything thats ingested as food that could cause this ? I'm at a loss, its pretty embarrassing as my teenage daughters were in car at the time and they suspended my license for 24 hours we were 6 hours from home. I don't want to ask anyone I know as its pretty embarrassing

Was this in America? Are you saying they made you take a drug test on the side of the road at a roadblock?
Few possibilities here. Just a straight up false positive and if will get cleared when the sample is sent to the lab. Second the ugl gear you been using has trace amounts of mrth in it (unlikely). And last some OTC drugs and stuff will cause false positives for other drugs but once again when the sample is sent to the lab they will confirm it's a false positive. It happens to me once before I dialed for morphije I freaked out. When they sent it into the lab they said sorry sometimes these on the spot tests are just faulty and produced a false positive.
Edit: after a quick google search it seems a few people have had meth positives while takin promethazine.
