Experience recieving at an APO/DPO

Yo Bros,
Getting posted over sees in a couple weeks to the balkans. Wondering what, if any, experience you guys have with getting stuff shipped to a DPO/APO. I know the goods are scanned, but what they are looking for are explosive type stuff. Just makes me nervous. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Hey man, Im in Iraq wondering the same shit. So when you find out can you let me know? lol. PM me or something? lol. I mean we can get booze out here no problem and a friend of mine retardly had someone send him pot brownies, they caught it. Brought him in and he just said he had no idea where that came from and they didnt do anything about it. They can't prove that you actually had someone send you that stuff. Just claim ignorance I suppose. Not sure what they would do about roids but Im sure it would be around the same thing. Depending on your Branch I guess.

Ive had gear shipped to Iraq twice, once each deployment. Came through no problems. It was only orals however.(yeah i know wheres the test) Iraq is so dirty that it wasnt worth the risk of infection for me. I often had to hide my orals outside under my chew in an eye pro case, or in a empty dip can, and carry them with me everywhere. Another thing is needles where you gonna get them at unless you got a hook up at the TMC. Like that would be a big red flag because there is no reason for anyone to be sending needles to Iraq unless they are doing shady shit (ass).

Some things to consider the volume of mail would be way down. meaning your odds of getting caught go way up. military security is apt to be much stronger. The ramifications for getting caught are going to be much more severe. mail addressed for you from any other country than the US or maybe GB will most likely raise a red flag.
I would strongly advise against it.
Greg, Do you personally have any experience with doing this? That's what everyone said about the last place we were at and it was total bull shit.
