Egg whites vs liquid egg whites

ad

Just curious to see how many people eat egg whites vs drink them ? Any better nutritional benefits from either way ? Does anyone notice a difference between store brand and name brand ? I personally use All Whites 100% liquid egg whites (green and white container) I find this brand less chunky and more liquid. Hope to hear some feedback

Your going to save a fortune buying individual boxed eggs over the pre egg white carton style. Thats a fact.

This is a good read on egg nutritional values. Note the part about digestive enzyme inhibitors in uncooked whites. Proteins in egg whites are also said to have a decreased bioavailability without enzymes from the yolks.

whole eggs for the win, srs.

Just have to be careful drinking them - protein bioavailability is much lower in raw eggs (50%) than cooked eggs (90%).
You have to eat almost double the amount of liquid eggs as you do cooked eggs to get the same amount of protein.

Mid way through the abstract:
Cooked egg - 91
Raw Egg - 51

I drink the Costco brand egg whites....6 cartons for 8 bucks...50g protein per carton. I always wonder about the bioavailability also....but I feel like they work for me. Better on my stomach than whey too. Bonus is that farts smell like pure sulfur. I drink a carton for breakfast, straight from the carton. Tastes like skim milk

I consume a lot of egg whites. I drink them. I've used just about every different source. Egg whites already separated to whole eggs that I separate myself. Once you throw them in a blender with something else, you wont even notice the texture anymore. I too have many questions about the bioavailability of the nutrients, I have heard is most definitely not the same. I started drinking eggs because of the convenience and volume. Its much easier (for me anyway) to drink six eggs than to eat six eggs.

A lot of my protein powder recipes call for egg whites so that is the brand I use (All Whites). I couldn't imagine trying to drink them. Nutrition and bioavailability should be the same whether cooked or drank raw I would assume.

I drink the whole egg, most the nutrition is in the yolk off the egg, plus easy source off protien :-)
