blood pressure meds with least side effects
ad
My mom's bp pills give her bad head aches and neck pain for hours after taking them. Obviously she gets dizzy when getting up after taking them.
does anyone prefer a certain type?

I'm on Nebivolol 5mg PD. It seems to be reasonably effective - killed the libido a little- but then it's not the only med I'm on. I guess that the first thing you have to establish is the cause of your mum's high BP and then get a drug which addresses that specific issue. High BP has different causes - find the cause and then use the drug/s specifically designed to deal with that cause.
I use a beta blocker called propranolol , blood pressure is always perfect , I don't have any side effects
That is what I used when I cycled heavy.
Really?
Yes, some of my cycles/blasts had my BP at 190/100. Granted, I was abusing the fuck out of steroids at the time. I was treating the secondary symptoms, instead of scaling back. I haven’t run anything other than TRT in two maybe three years.
Beta blockers are usually effective and many people do well on them. I’ve been on two different types and liked both. I only noticed a little tiredness the first few days and then nothing after that. They are usually cheap as well.
Colonidine hcl
I have used an assortment of bp meds once my doctor prescribed these I've been using them ever since with zero side effects like other bp meds gave me I believe its the alpha blockers or something like that are the ones that really gave me problems
I just read brads answer below he is exactly right about it
Also read below the doctor says just deal with it. This is the reason I hate 90%of doctors what a fucking idiot
Clonidine/catapres
That’s what I use as well
NotNatural23there are different types of BP meds and some may not be suited for her. Linsinopril is a good one for little side effects. How bad is her BP? If just moderately high maybe arginine or look for some natural ways. but always consult with doctor but he will probably push meds. there are your ace inhibitors, calcium channel blockers. water diuretics and there are subclasses of this kind also. Beta blockers, angeointensin 2. Here this will be easier a link for you they can explain it way better then i can. http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Conditions/HighBloodPressure/MakeChangesTh...
So what I am saying you need to figure out what is the best for her and what other problems she has because not all are made for one person. Hope I helped cause there are many factors when choosing BP meds. The one with the less sides might be the worst for her. Sorry it couldn't be just an easy answer.
Wow thank u.
I don't remember but think was 170 over something
It’s hard sometimes to find the right one because it’s our bodies all respond differently. I had some bp trouble while on active duty in the Corps & I was a mess for a little while till they got it sorted. The only advice I can give is keep the dr informed of all side effects. I hope it all gets worked out soon man!!
This PA just says she had to deal with it. Wtf?
Sometimes the sides will subside after the body adjusts to the meds. This might be the case, but if it went on very long I would get a 2nd opinion.
Metoprolol 100mg is what she just started. Before she was on Amlodipine for awhile and it was constant.
Metoprolol 100mg is fucking insane dose bro metoprolol isn't a blood thinner to keep blood clots low or BP low it puts calcium on the walls of the heart so when it beats it doesn't pound so hard and work the heart as hard. So don't think you could take a couple of your mom's pills while on cycle to help out cause metoprolol won't help much. If she's getting dizzy after taking them it's because her BP is to low from the heart not pumping enough
