+ 1 Black Friday/cyber Monday purchases
Lots of us spend money we probably shouldn't this time of year on all the deals we think are too good to pass up. Especially now that nobody needs to deal with the bs of waiting online crazy early to get into your desired store and curb stomp anyone who gets in the way of your desired purchases. Home delivery really is a game changer for how likely I am to make a Black Friday or Cyber Monday purchase.
This year I order a 55" Samsung neo-qled TV and persona 3&4 for my switch. I'll probably end up grabbing another game or 2 before the sales are finished. I have dozens of unplayed games across multiple systems and yet I never have anything I really want to play. Persona 4 is hitting the spot currently. I did also place an order with unc for his Wonka black Fri sale as well
So what are you guys picking up while the sales are happening? Gear or otherwise.

Sorry TSI, I needed a thread I could post a pic on, no disrespect meat or intended.
@Spool it went higher than this, but you get the idea. Second pic is two days later with VERY little salt, small amount of food, lots of water, and an antihistamine. Craziness right?
I bought a bunch of prepper gear including a geiger counter , a .450 Bushmaster barrel for my AR's and then after sighting in bought a CMC two stage trigger that is much lighter.
Grabbed a new piece myself. How are you liking the trigger? All my rifles are single stage polished, I don’t like take up on rifles, handguns are a different story. Is it a drop in?
That is sweet! Yes it is a drop in , super easy install other than my ambidextrous safety threw me for a loop for a second but I figured it out. And yes I agree on single stage but for this one with the .450 it is meant for deer hunting and accuracy so that is why I went very light pull two stage
Awesome set up. What kind of optic are you running?
Well on this barrel I just have the 3x9 vortex. But I have different optics for each barrel
There ya go, very nice setup. It gets out of control sometimes for me, I’ll buy a new optic, then a little while after I’ll buy a new upper to put it on. Then I’ll build another lower for it, then the cycle repeats itself lol
now ill share a little gun porn. As with the rest of the sharing that happens here, not typical lol. I have a handful of gas guns, favorite is the AR10 platform. Im a Kahles fanboy for optics, have three 525i with skmr3. I found a few pics , I will snap some for you Drex next time im down there, life is whirlwind at moment. I had an absolute passion for long range sports for little over a decade. after kids came and life changed, I can't tell you last time I burned any powder. pic is one of my gems. custom import accuracy international with spur mounted S&B & thunder beast ultra
9 can. pic is old, has kahles on it now, easy to be good with same reticle from rifle to rifle
People don’t understand just how good glass can be until they get a chance to look through some higher end stuff like Kahles. Made me finally understand the old school concept of only needing 1x per 100m. When the glass is that crisp edge to edge you don’t need much magnification to see/hit a torso sized target out to 500-600m. The kahles LPVOs have ridiculous FOV too.
yes, the quality is such a difference. we shoot at 4 - 1.5" dots on a 10" square plate at 700yds. typically maybe 12-14X. if lots of light maybe more mag. I was a Schmit and bender fan for longest time, still am but the reticles were cluttered. the kahles skmr3 I really like it, the H59 is also a favorite. was awesome when the glass manufactures started offering the patented reticles though various models and manufactures. the vortex razor HD 27x-56 with the H59 are plentiful, normally can get them $15-1800 and the Warrenty is forever on product with vortex on everything. just not as stout as some of the others. I have a pair of vortex binos that have been replaced and upgraded like 5 times, lol from a mountain fall of 100' to a minor tip over on tripod.
As soon as my thumbs up grow back I’m sending one your way. Absolutely beautiful rifle, how far out can you maintain accuracy? I’m probably going this weekend, I’ll bring one of my rifles with me, but I spend a lot of time with my pistols as I’m carrying every day. And I’m going to believe the number you put out there, the spotter scope is a giveaway that you’re reaching out there pretty far.
I have confirmed 1308yds with my handloads. 770-1000yds moving targets through the AIAT 6.5CM. I have numerous data dumps of over 10k rounds journaled from a bayonet mounted chrono (magnettospeed). I have a few other custom built rigs from guys that now have very successful gun smithing operations. kinda like "rookie cards". I am proficient with a pistol. I typically have a .380 on me or in lunch box on toolbox. little more in my vehicle. ill get some pics, I have zero of my daily stuff.
And yet you get the internet tough guys saying they’ll find someone and kick their ass. Not knowing they’ll be dropped from a few football fields away. I just laugh to myself. Laugh and shake my head.
yes. I typically don't share or participate in much social media. I enjoy my life and my freedom to much, as soon as it becomes "selfless & in defense" the story changes and violence is the correct choice. it took me a long time to learn; the only thing Im in control of is myself and my reactions. the best are the 35-45 years old wanna be thugs. I do enjoy a good time of education in violence. lol
Mental health in general has taken a hard and fast decline. It’s sad really.
That's one of the truest things I've seen said on this site. Sadly I think the Internet is a huge part of why that's happened. Doesn't matter if you realize it or not. What you're seeing is everyone's curated posts of their life that puts them in the very best light and tends to show none of the negatives. You just can't help but compare yourself to these other people. I find I'm much happier and more satisfied with my life the more I stay off of social media.
Now these are the kinds of dick pics eroids needs more of
Nice! I am only at two AR's but had one other I sold a few years ago. The other one is a Pistol AR 7.5" barrel. I need to get a suppressor for that one. It is stupid loud with that short barrel
Have an 8” 556, 10.3”556, and 12” 308…all with side ported brakes/QD mounts to act as first line sacrificial baffles instead of the first baffle in my suppressor getting blasted with hot unburnt powder.
And every single one of them makes people leave the range in disgust towards me when I go in suppressed lol. I might even have a slight headache myself when I’m done. Getting to the age where I honestly can’t/don’t want to shoot them indoors. They’re outdoor range/competition guns only.
12” .308? Jesus bro that’s a literal ear devastator lol. How does it shoot, recoil and accuracy wise? I’d think A LOT of the powder is just turning into decibels?
Actually very nice
I run it on competitions just fine. First round hits out to 500m no problem.
Hell yes
2gun modified?
Run n guns. They spread 6-8 stages out over ~3-5 miles and you gotta run to each stage. Usually a mix of CQB type stages and long range stages. Through various terrain, river crossings, etc.
Love HK, have 3 of their handguns, no rifles yet. Yet… HK45, USP45, and a P30.
Hk fanboy for sure over here lol. MP5 and UMP are on my bucket list. Already have the MR762, MR556, and a G36C
Their quality really is up there. They put a USP45 through the wringer, somewhere around 280,000 rounds and it still functioned fine. I think, maybe, they changed springs lol
Yeah man, I was thinking about building a shorty until a guy at the range (indoor) in the lane next to me started cracking off rounds through one. I could feel it in my head and chest. We can get away with a lot in my state, but suppressors are on the no-no list. Never understood that, they just make it bearable, the lawmakers think they make the gun go “ppssshhhhtttt” like in the movies. Retards.
I was watching YouTube and this former SPO was saying they loved the shorty’s because as soon as you pull the trigger it is basically like throwing a flash bang. And I 100% believe that
Did that brake come on the upper or did you add it? Looks like it gets the job done
I've been looking at picking up something to carry concealed. I just can't make up my mind and i don't have a permit yet anyways.
You going to have fun with the geiger counter checking the radiation levels of random crap when it shows up?
The S&W Shield would be a good choice for carry
I got it narrowed down to a M&P shield, Berretta APX A1 compact or a Springfield Hellcat.
The shield fit really well in my hand. There's a nice deal on the Hellcat currently. The smallest version wasnt large enough for my hand and i have to wait for them to get the slightly larger version in to check out. I haven't seen the Berretta in person yet. But it sure does look nice.
Here's the hellcat deal

Damn Blackfriday! I picked up the new s&w bodyguard 2.0 for my lady to carry, but I kinda want it for myself now. Its so small and has 10rounds. Don't get get me wrong, glock had a sale also, so I grabbed a 43x too. Can't wait to go breakem in, have to wait till Xmas morning I guess.
Grabagun.com had a bunch of really nice deals. But other than ammo i won't buy something if i can't actually put it in my hand first. Closest gun shop is about 30 minutes from me. So it's not the kind of thing i just randomly go do. I did stop by somewhere to check out the Hellcat which is how i found the regular one was just too small for my hand and that the shield actually fit really well.
I don't NEED another gun. I just want one. There's too many side things i want to spend money on.
I have that same problem, "don't need another gun, I just want one"... lol. The hellcat is a sweet little gun, but I agree I have to feel it in my hand also.. My cc gun need to be comfortable whatever way I'm carrying it and has to be reliable enough for me to get back to my vehicle for my war piece. I think that's why I'm liking that new little 380 I got my ole lady. I can literally slip it Into my pocket if need to. Anyway I know ull find ur perfect match. Have fun
I ordered that .450 upper off Bear Creek. They have awesome prices and a lot of guys swear by them. The trigger and some other stuff I bought off PSA. They had some killer ammo deals as well
Yes, M&P. It is early and my brain obviously hasn't caught up yet lol. I have the Springfield XD subcompact which I think is the previous version of the Hellcat and it shoots great but on the heavy side for a carry gun. I Also have a Taurus G2 which is much lighter to carry but I just keep it in the truck. I recently bought a Canik TTI and that gun is just fun to shoot and would be the primary pistol for me in a SHTF situation, the XD would be my secondary
I currently have a full size CZ 9mm. It's kind of large and heavy to carry. I just want to stay with 9mm so i don't need to buy different ammo.
My only suggestion is carry the biggest, highest capacity firearm you’re comfortable and proficient with, that you can conceal with minimal printing. And make sure, I’m talking hundreds of rounds, that it will cycle the ammunition you choose reliably.
Red brick will give you elevated dose rate readings. Not enough to cause harm but definitely enough above background to see it.
And here i live in a brick house built in the early 1900's.
lol it’s still less of an exposure amount than what you get flying in an airplane for an extended period. End of the day gamma exposure is not really your harmful thing when it comes to rad. It’s ingesting removable contamination that’s giving off alpha or beta. That’s what “melts” you from the inside. If there’s a scenario where the gamma exposure is so high to cause acute illness/issues then the thing that caused the gamma exposure (I.e. bomb) will most likely have killed you anyways.
That said also have Iodine tabs as part of your bug out kit and gas mask.
Already have that because of my job. I respond to and direct the cleanup of CBRN. “Lost” my first issued mask, so my wife can have one. Then have my actual issued one. God willing it’ll never be used. A large scale rad scenario is just simply not survivable long term.
Just bought a nice brand 55 inch TV for the back room. I have a 40 inch in other back room which will be replaced soon. Best buy has good deals right about now. I saw this post and was reminded that I should of gotten that exact Samsung 55 inch TV instead. Keep us posted on it.
Since you asked about the tv. So far it's been great. 55" isn't a huge size increase over a 49" but it's noticeable. I really like the q symphony feature where the tv's speakers will sink with the surround sound adding in 2 additional front facing speakers and 2 upward facing speakers. It's got most of the big video game streaming services built right in but i don't pay for any so i haven't tried them. I really need to fire up my ps5 to get a look at how good the screen can be. So far it's only been my switch or the samsung free streaming tv service that i've used. All in all for $800 delivered with a 3 year extended warranty i'm happy. It was supposed to be a factory refurb but i can't find even a small scuff on the thing.
