Any paintball players here?
I used to play paintball all the damn time and I'm currently trying to get back into it.. Out of all the sports I've played I have to say it's absolutely the most fun and damn good cardio.. that is if you're playing with decent players.. constant sprinting, ducking, diving and all the while trying to keep your heart rate and panting down so you can focus just long enough to pop a few shots off on someones head.
If you haven't played it well you should get out from your rock and try it.. chances are you're going to love it
If you play what do you prefer? Speed ball or woods and why?
What gear to you prefer and why?
For me I love both types of play.. speed ball for tournies and all around adrenaline pumping.. woods ball is also great if there are enough people with decent terrain.. it's more of a relaxed style.
I usually stuck to old school intimidators like the dragon since there was a lot to customize from performance to looks.. the rest of my gear is empire

Played semi pro and d2 xball back between 2003-2006.
Played Rec and worked my way up from rookie since 1999.
Stopped playing after the economy crazy in 07. It killed the sport.
Yeah it really sucks.. most fields shut down =/
When I do play I try to make sure everyone around me is having a good experience in the hopes they come back and bring more friends.. that's about the best we can do.
Yessir, sponsorship $ sure dried up quickly!
Exactly, couldn't afford to play, practice 3-4 times a week along with travel, hotel and tournment fees without my sponsorships.
I just gave the sport up that I loved a lot.

I played paintball competitively for yearrrrs. Called it quits back in '09. Played a lot of NPPL, PSP and CXBL. Great experience travelling around with a bunch of friends playin ball and partying.
For my last couple seasons Inused an "Ego", they shoot ropes , also shot a few DYE Matrix. As for the rest of my gear it was whatever the sponsors gave us to wear.
If I ever play again it will be recreational woodsball, that shit was soooo much fun and Im sure its still a blast.
Paintball is awsome for group outings for work too, where else can you legally shoot the piss outa your asshole boss and not go to jail?
Lmao very true.. timmys are definately my favorite gun to shoot.. I've shot ego's and dye as well.. Axes are actually pretty decent for the price..
I'd love to go to legends at least once it looks absolutely insane to play with that many people
I've only played once and some fuck head friend ran up on me, inches away and shot my fucking hand. Wow, that sucked!
Aside from that, it was fun as hell! I would love to do it more.
If I played, it would def. be woods/courses outdoors.

AnonIve only played it a couple of times, and every time I get nailed by some punk ass little kid. Not to mention Ive done it on some pretty cold days and those fuckers hurt when theyve been flying through freezing temps to git ya ! Fun stuff though !
Ya gotta find out when the adults play just ask the field owners.. or even just the regulars will be a lot more polite.. younger kids can be assholes when you give them a paintball gun... not all of them but most of them lmao.. I typically got shot in the back of the head every time one of them got put on my team for pick up games LOL
Try to wear layers it'll hurt less plus they tend to bounce off.. and bounce doesn't count as a hit lolol.. But you get used to the pain.
Anonyeah one kid nailed me righ behind the ear. I guess the helmet left a little skin exposed and that fucking sharpshooter got me. I tend to think it wasnt just dumb luck. They also got me on my wrist. Seened anywhere my skin was exposed was a target to them.
Hmmm depends how close.. I'd hope it was dumb luck or they're fucking idiots.. You shouldn't purposely harm people that just causes people not to come back.. little bastards.. Paint balls are not very accurate but when you're used to your gun you can pull off a lot of crazy shots.. I could typically pop two shots off down a long field and nail people right between the eyes if they weren't paying attention buahahahaha

It's not rad.. You should definitely tell him not to do that.. it's extremely painful if it hits the head or straight on testis.. well he'll understand when it happens to him and probably stop.. but yeah it makes new people like yourself not want to come back.

ahhh no nad shooting!! It's fine if it's an accident but that's what fights start over when it's on purpose.. We had a guy running around purposely doing that and trust me it wasn't pretty for him.

We were sponsored by WDP/Angel, idk are they even still around? We later joined the Empire bandwagon and shot intimidators, then later went to planet eclipse and shot the Egos. My personal favorite gun was the texas storm intimidator I had for a while. Dye boomstick and halo feeder. Wow that brings me back saying all of that stuff. We shot whatever paint our sponsors deemed free for us to use. Figuring we went threw nearly 1/2-whole pallet every practice.
I don't think angel is around anymore... but I could be wrong.. Timmys were just the most fun imo.. I'm kinda let down looking at the new ones.. they're beginning to look like the other brands of guns.. I really liked how different timmys looked let alone all the customization options.. They did bring back the dragon but that thing is 1.5k which seems ridiculous
