Albumin low levels

ad

Is there anything to take to improve this?

I feel fine and actually better than ever.
But this is a serious thing I'm told. Is just recently as well.

Theonslaught's picture

I won't be taking hgh again either.
That was more harm then good.

So much for my 14 boxes of serostim. Lol

Dacky's picture

If you were UK based I'd take them off you :-)

Theonslaught's picture

Lol yeah.

I'll be there soon but can't exactly take them

Dacky's picture

It's not really a problem carrying into the UK for personal use but I guess 12 kits may be considered more. Probably more of a problem taking them out of the US.

MedDx's picture

Hgh can be progressive...that's it nature...you'll get rid of them...don't worry bro

Catalyst's picture

Most common causes are malnutrition and severe inflammatory response. Possible solution within the causes there.

Theonslaught's picture

Interesting. Today I'm getting rechecked so I'll get levels from last time to compare this time.
I greatly appreciate you guys...

Makwa's picture

what is your actual albumin level? How far below normal is it?

Theonslaught's picture

ten day difference (retest)

Albumin 2.8 to 3.2
Ast 97 to now 131
Alt. 108 to now 159

Ck levels:
7/6 (2378)
7/18 (966)
7/29 (1834)

The enzymes have been much much higher before.

MedDx's picture

Start an OTC liver supp...someone mentioned this already...
What's sodium and chloride?

Makwa's picture

My albumin was down to 2.7 and the doc didn't seem to worried about. Back up to 3.9 now. I wouldn't be to concerned about your current level.

Theonslaught's picture

Thank u

Theonslaught's picture

I will look once they send me my info to check stuff online

MedDx's picture

Thanks. Can you post your BF%, too?

MedDx's picture

What's your K+ level on your bloodwork?

Theonslaught's picture

K levels?

MedDx's picture

Potassium

Also, what is your HCO3- level...that's your bicarbonate...as well as CO2 level...all these levels should be on your CMP under electrolytes...

Theonslaught's picture

Co2 27
postasium 3.8

Can't find hco3

MedDx's picture

No problem on the hco3. Potassium needs to be 4.0...supplement foods rich in potassium...don't use any supps...CO2 is fine...you aren't metabolically acidodic...

Supplement fluid intake with gatorade and increase fluid intake daily and make sure you're getting 6-8 liters...

Theonslaught's picture

Thank u so much

MedDx's picture

De nada mi amigo...

Dacky's picture

Albumin is comin up and is very close to being in range. That potassium is in range but a bit low especially for someone who does heavy exercise and lifts. CO2 is fine but close to the upper level of the range. I see the Ck number above is now pretty high again (I see it's been even higher) and I wonder if you had been lifting for a few days before this test and not the previous one? Are the doctors not concerned about these levels? For me that would be my primary worry and I wonder if this could be indicative of a reason for the lower albumin levels? Heavy lifting could also explain your higher liver enzymes. I think you need more tests just to fully rule out kidney and liver issues. I would be looking at:
BUN
Full electrolytes
eGFR
GGT
Bilirubin

MedDx's picture

We are on the same page... Smile those up and down trends with CK and a history of higher CK...interesting...I know our fat cells are replaced q10d...interesting piece of the puzzle...

Dacky's picture

Yeap it's getting beyond me to be honest but I suspect the high Ck levels and the low albumin are related. Sure the docs will get to the bottom of it.

Theonslaught's picture

Bilirubin total 0.4 mg
Bilirubin, Direct 0.1 mg/dL
sodium 137

BUN. 12 mg/dL
Creatinine 1.17 mg/dL
(They don't do eGFR IF Creatine is normal)

these docs don't know bodybuilders.
I've already had ultra sounds on liver and kidneys as well.

This is a routine check for a pill on on (forgot to mention that)

Dacky's picture

Glad that's all good fella. I wish out the best of luck getting to the bottom of it and/or it resolving on its own as these things sometime do.

MedDx's picture

What's the pill, bro?

Theonslaught's picture

Truvada. (They give it to me as extra protection against hiv. It's a preventative. )

MedDx's picture

Looks like it mobilizes fat...and can cause a build up of lactic acid...

Theonslaught's picture

Hopefully it moves the fat to my outter calves and quad sweep. Lol

Trenagade's picture

Lmao if that's the case I'll take some too

MedDx's picture

What is your bf bro?

Theonslaught's picture

I think it's 13 at moment.

MedDx's picture

Okay thank you sir...

MedDx's picture

You are post cycle one month. One thing that keeps coming up with my research for your situation is hormone-sensitive triglyceride lipase and it's function of triglyceride hydrolysis, which is very fast. Have you been using carbs for energy? If you havent, then the free fatty acids are affecting your albumin. Situations like this occur in diabetes and starvation.

In theory, I was under the impression your BF% was really low....

Makwa's picture

Are you on cycle now?

MedDx's picture

I think this guy needs carbs...what do you think

Makwa's picture

If he is on a normal diet after PCT, shouldn't be cutting or restricting cals during or shortly after PCT anyway, he should be Ok nutrition wise.

Theonslaught's picture

Carbs?

MedDx's picture

How many grams of carbohydrates are you eating daily and when are you eating them?

Theonslaught's picture

A month post

Trenagade's picture

I think I remember some studies on leucine or Bcaa supplementation to support or improve albumin levels

Theonslaught's picture

What about essential amino

MedDx's picture

Leucine is essential, along with isoleucine, threonine, histidine, lysine, methionine, arginine, valine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan. These 10 essential amino acids aren't synthesized in sufficient quantities, or not at all, in the body.

Theonslaught's picture

I mentioned this because I take these.
Thank you buddy

MedDx's picture

Okay. That's good. Thanks.

Theonslaught's picture

Kidneys look fine. Liver enzymes are up but half of what they have been. Creatine kinase was very high though like 2000.

Makwa's picture

Are your liver values still elevated above normal? Were you taking any orals on your cycle? Liver stress can cause lowered albumin levels. Get your liver values back to normal and the albumin may follow.

Theonslaught's picture

My liver enzymes are always higher than normal.
But they were double High last time yet albumin was normal.
I tool tudca, beat root juice, lemon juice and something else ? to lower enzymes.

MedDx's picture

X2...I was initially going of the premise that his body fat was too low...probably from his avitar...
