To my eroids superheros
I will always be grateful to you. Two years ago my life turned upside down and these past two years would have been impossible without you. Before that fateful day I have always thought I would become next great swimmer (afterall I was college "superstar") I would compete till retirement then open my own swimming academy.
I forgot that even the best-laid plans often failed. I had patellar tendon rupture over a stupid post training bet. Long story short doctors called it career ending injury and I was too idiot too conceited too weak to handle life's ups and downs therefore I fell of the wagon. I could not graduate on time, begun drinking excessively, I put on massive amount of wrong type of weight. I was literally living in my own nightmare.
Eight months ago my best friend survived horrible car crash. Thankfully she has made full recovery but process did shake me to my core. I restarted training, revised my eating habits and along with relatively decent base I have made good progress. I am still not anywhere close to my competitive shape but eventually I will get there. Because you are here your journey is here.
Whenever I feel like progress has stalled I come here. "Oh my god she is gorgeous and she is 20 years older than me?!" , "look at here she is a couple of inchs shorter but she has packed amazing mass" , "you complain about guzzling down another shake look at her amazing progress" these are just a few of countless examples.
Bottom line is I'm grateful to find this community and I'm absolutely grateful to find amazing role models. (I'm looking at you GRRL). Afterall there is nothing more than knowledge and inspiration here.

I am hugely flattered that you would think of me this way ... I m here because when I started this journey the only information I could get from anyone was to run avar 10mg per day split ... "that's all you'll ever need" ... they didn't recognize that I wasn't a beach bunny looking for some muscle tone (nothing against beach bunnies I ll just never look like one ;-) we share information here because what good is it if you keep it locked away? we look at the people in our lives and sometimes they get inspiration from us and sometimes we get inspiration from them, everyone has a story, every one came from somewhere, the ones who are notable are the ones who don't quit ... who keep going even when they fall down ;-)
GRRL I'm wholeheartedly grateful to you because you have redefined common concept of beauty you are poster child of strong is the new sexy movement:) When I was competing my mother was my rock. She prepared my meals she even did my primo shots. When it was medically confirmed that my competitive years were over her attitude has changed. Almost everyone was convinced that "excessive" mass was not a desirable trait for a 5'8" meso female. I should be happy with pink dumbells and flappy but extremely svelte arms.
Beach bunnies are adorable thanks but no thanks I'm more than happy with two plate squats:)
there is some amazing stories here and the ladies who do the work show it looking amazing like they do. I dont get on as much as i used to but i still lurk around. i love seeing stories like this cuz it reminds me to keep going to. thanks and good luck
Gurly I'm just a former self righteous idiot who is trying to become a more sensible idiot. I was too arrogant to deal with defeat. On the other hand you are a true inspiration I wish I could be strong like you.
it is great and wonderful to see you here gurly ;-)
