Seasoned lifter new to eroids (and oils)
ad
I've been lifting since age 13. I'm now 34 years old, and just got some blood test results back...my testosterone is at 225. I get plenty of sun (vitamin D), run sprints, and consume a diet that should yield tons of test...and yet, my balls lag. Frustrating.
I'm 6', 230lbs, 14% bf, strong, have a great sex drive, and the testosterone of a 70 year old man.
So I've been educating myself on gear, and this place seems like a great resource. I'm going to dive in shortly. Good to be here!

Welcome to the site. Glad ur here. Were all your other blood work values in range?
Most were fine, but the one that was off was c reactive protein. It was high, which is correlated with cardiac incidents (heart problems).
This is strange, as I've never had heart issues - my heart rate is always on the low side (below 60 BPM), and blood pressure is usually low. My cholesterol was on point.
I know this is a longish answer, but c reactive protein is correlated with heart stuff primarily because it's an indicator of inflammation. Funny enough, I've had some other inflammation symptoms - a hamstring injury that wasn't really healing, joint soreness in my elbows...nothing huge, but definitely an indicator that something was up. My BUN was a little out of range as well, which lead me to conclude that it may be some sort of inflammation issue with kidneys.
Kidney's are the #1 homeostatic organ in the human body. They produce roughly 1/2 lb of bicarbonate per day to assist in keeping blood levels between ph 7.35 and 7.45.
Now I'm a larger person to begin with, and I have a high protein diet (between 250 - 300 g/day), and protein is primarily acidic in nature. So my theory is that my kidneys are having to work extra hard to assist in maintaining blood alkalinity, and that overtaxing of the kidneys is what is causing the inflammation response.
I've started supplementing with bicarbonate 2-3 times per day, just a teaspoon or so in some water. I IMMEDIATELY felt better, my energy levels increased, and the hammy started feeling better. It's been about a week, and elbow inflammation has decreased as well.
I'm going to get bloods again in a couple weeks to see if I was correct. As bicarbonate supplementation was the only change it should be easy to draw the conclusion that it's what made the difference.
I know that's a long answer lol, thanks for the welcome
We here at EROIDS loooovvee long answers...lol!! So, its always good to provide helpful info. Its just not good to type it all....sometimes..imo..
Anyway, it sounds like you are on to something with HCO3-. How was bicarb and creatinines range? A nephro guy i know treated his dog with 12-13 tabs daily. Some kind of small dog with fast metabolism that had issues. I suppose u consune a true 2 gallons of water each day? A diet modification to some degree may help u with this issue.
Welcome to Eroids.
