Over 40 victim of fate
Skeptical, but hoping this site is trustworthy. I'm apparently a dinosaur now that I'm over 40. Former Marine... "Once and Marine... Once!" Been lifting off and on for years. I have symptoms of low T but don't really care to see a doctor. Curious, cautious, want to learn, eager to grow.
Update: The above introduction was written over 10 years ago! I am no longer skeptical and I trust this site. In the past 10 years I have used this site to learn, grow, and find reliable sources. I have yet to have a really bad experience with a source. I also did eventually get on dr. prescribed TRT. I had a set back from 2018 - 2022 going through a divorce, turning to alcohol for escape and getting depressed and really out of shape. Further, I suffered a vaccine injury during covid. I had severe neuropathy in my arm for about six months and could no longer workout and lost about 50% muscle mass on one side. Which exacerbated my depression.
However, with a lot of prayer and leaning into my relationship with God, I quit drinking, got healthy again, found the love of my life and remarried... and now in my mid-50's I'm in my best shape in years. I don't mind being on TRT at my age. And an occasional cycle while keeping up on my bloodwork has been great!

You'll find a lot of members here over 40, myself included. As long as you are looking down at the grass instead of up at the grass, there's still time. Jump on in man there are some really helpful guys here cleverly disguised as assholes.
Either way, doctor or not, you need baseline blood work. You can pay for it privately on http://www.privatemdlabs.com/lp/Female_Hormone_Testing.php
There are 5% coupons you can find on the first page of Google. It may turn out you need testosterone replacement. If you do, it is worth seeing a doctor. The ability to posses it legally is priceless. You have a starting point with the blood work. Continue researching and preparing for a first cycle.
