Hello from an undisclosed location

ad

Hey guys! I'm brand new to the world of steroids and think I've come to the right and best community for it. Being in the military, I'm sort of apprehensive about doing anything like this, but I've been struggling to lose ANY weight for the past couple years.

A few years ago, I did Kris Gethin's 12 week program from BB.com and lost about 40 lbs in maybe 3 months, dropping from 205 to roughly 160. I know that was kind of a crash, but it was all natural at that point. Since then, my weight has crept up to around 220. I know a good chunk of that is muscle weight, but any and all attempts to even hit 200 have been useless, and the scale only seems to be going up. I'm currently around 22% BF and seriously suspect I have T3 issues (thyroid hormone problems run in my family) but getting that tested while I'm deployed could be a pretty bad deal, especially if anything DOES come back abnormal.

Anyway, I started taking albuterol about 3 weeks ago and leveled off at 24mg qd, taking 8mg 3x a day, about 4 hours apart. My strength has increased tremendously and I keep hitting PRs at almost every workout, but still not seeing the scale change at all. I know I'm kind of impatient, but how quickly should I start seeing changes?

Thanks man. My issues started right before starting any antidepressants.

Wait to see BW values.

Diet modification.

Why has the exercise program stopped? Smile

Edit:

but getting that tested while I'm deployed could be a pretty bad deal, especially if anything DOES come back abnormal.

Why, bro?

I've done the whole program again twice more, only maintaining my weight the 2nd time, and weight gain (with increased BF) the most recent. And being diagnosed with a thyroid or overall endocrine issue isn't something they can manage over here.

Okay thanks bro...

No problem. So any general impressions?

Stats
Age: 29
Height: 71
Weight: 215
BF: 22%

So ur getting a Thyroid Profile?

Esjay86's picture

I will be, yes. My TSH routinely comes back normal, so my doctor automatically claims my symptoms are related to depression, instead. I've had issues with near constant fatigue, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, some depressed mood, the weight gain I mentioned earlier. These all started in conjunction with my weight issues and even my psychiatrist doesn't think I actually have depression. I've been on wellbutrin for almost 2 years, so I should have at lost something by now.

How long have u had a dr/pt rship with current docs?

List other meds.

List diet.

List allergies.

Thanks

About 4 years. Trazodone 100 mg qhs, nexium 40mg qam, wellbutrin 300 mg qd. No med allergies and no significant environmental allergies. Diet is whatever they're serving in the dining center. I try to limit myself to carbs twice a day, usually rice and potatoes. Omelette for breakfast, chicken/fish for lunch and dinner with a full takeout container of salad.

Any changes to drug dosages with in last.4 yrs? And how long in Traz?

Esjay86's picture

Only been on WB for two years, going from 150 to 300 about a year ago. Prior to that, Lexapro, Celexa and Prozac for maybe a year. I started trazodone with the WB and took ambien, Lunesta or klonopin with the other meds. All had about the same lack of efficacy.

Sounds like u may be isolated from family?

Esjay86's picture

Isolated? What do you mean?

MedDx's picture

Are you away from your family? Do you feel sad?

Esjay86's picture

Oh not at all. I'm glad to be gone. Been away from my family for almost 8 years. I chose military over family for this stage of my life and love every second of it.
