Well hey I just wanted to Introduce my self, I have been a long time reader, and browser of the site and finally decided to introduce my self .

Age 30
Height 6’3’’
Weight 245
Body Fat % 12%
These stats are after a 18 month run of watching my diet and being diligent with my training and yoga. I was 310lbs and well above the 25% bf range.

History - I have been training off and on since high school. I played several sports in high school,( Wrestling, Football and Baseball) as well as JKD and Aikido. I continued the martial arts in college dropped the sports for ROTC, after college I went into the service eventually became a Ranger ( I was a medic). Well to shorten a long story I’m out of the service and after a 2 year struggle to get back to training after a complete left knee replacement and surgery to repair both the ACL and MCL in my right knee I have completed the recovery and kicked the nasty little pain killer addiction those surgeries brought with them. Now I have been cleared to return to training both with weights and in the dojo.

My plan is to get back to fighting shape so to speak. The surgeries, time off, and well lack of motivation to train were hard to shake . But now figuring that if left up to the doctors they would tell me hang it up, but I say bollocks. I love to backpack, kayak and mountaineering as well as I am an avid hunter and fisher. I don’t work in the medical field any more saw my share of blood as a medic; I’m a Chef now lol of all things in a high end restaurant, so I figure best to get back to the sportsmen to avoid looking like Mario Batali … sure I want my food to taste like his I just don’t want his waist line. With that being said I just wanted to introduce my self and say that I have enjoyed the site and look forward to making a few friends and learning from you cats cheers

Thanks brother, yeah It was hard work but, the doctors told me I would never get back to sport and martial arts so basically spite is a great motivator ^-^
