Back2Good Intro

Hello All,

50 y/o male long-time bodybuilder, on the sauce on and off since 1996. Just coming off a 1.5 year break in training after diagnosis with pulmonary hypertension, have been back in the gym for five months now working on figuring out a training regimen that will accommodate the bouts of breathlessness encountered due to my new, permanent condition - Volume training is clearly out of the question, and that was my favored regimen for almost 27 years. Training plan is coming along nicely - As Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" once said, "a man's got to know his limitations", diet never left target, but cardio is difficult, have to work it in intervals to accommodate breathing and H/R.

On TRT since August of last year @ 150mg Test Cyp per week (balls are shot from long time use, I suspect, T levels were 93 ng/dl at that time and have stabilized at 462 ng/dl since then), but started to use 250mg Testoprim-D (just because it was easy to pick up on vacation - I don't enjoy the lumps and plan to cut it by half and add 125mg Test E from one of the forum vendors as soon as it arrives) about a week ago in an attempt to get back to semi-normal appearance and a decent 600 - 650 ng/dl Test level within the next six months, then figure out a stabilized TRT regimen at that time. 462 ng/dl makes the Doc happy, but Hell, I'm 50, not 60, and I know what "normal" feels like to me.

Accompanying doses of statins are necessary of course, but I've been off of the BP meds and Prednisone for 6 months now, so feel fairly safe sticking with a T only regimen going forward - Used to love my stacks of Deca, Dbol, EQ, Var, etc. but need to do some reading up on whether or not it's safe to add those in again at some point to help with getting rid of the softness and bringing back some modicum of vascularity, that will come in time.

Happy to be back amongst the brotherhood (and sisterhood these days, I see!) - Hope an old dog can learn a few new tricks from some of you vastly more educated types than myself...I'm of the old eat. train, sleep, and sauce judiciously school and am more versed in lung and heart health maintenance these days than I am in some of the new knowledge you all have developed.

V/R (very respectfully),

B2G
