47 year old guy looking for a mentor. Ready to learn.
ad
Hello, New to this forum, I have been doing research for quite a while and I am eager to learn more. I would like to find a mentor to help me on my way. I do not need to be "big", I would like to look and feel younger and be more healthy. More muscle, less fat, who would not want that?

RustyhookerReally should get bloodwork done prior to anything. Trt, cholesterol etc...things you cant see
Blutwerte... :)..Da steckt mehr dahinter...das ist keine Luge....
bloodwork is done every year by health insurance company. All results are normal with Cholesterol being toward the high end of acceptable range.
Okay. Sounds good.
You're probably looking at a standard test cycle around 500-600mg/week for 12 weeks. Diet should be on point which means upping calories beyond your normal 2000 by a fair amount. I also wouldn't recommend drinking on cycle but people do far worse that's not to say it's okay. I would do shit loads of research before even thinking of ordering or sourcing if you're just peeping into this for the first time.
Been doing lots of research for a while, learning a lot. I was thinking toward 500mg X 8 weeks. Not sure of diet requirements. By not wanting to be big I mean like Real big. I do not need to bench any certain weight or throw cars or anything like that. I would like to feel good about what I see and look good naked. My wife is 11 years younger and I see my age in the mirror. I would like to hold back the clock as much as I can.
If your planning on running test cypinate or ethanate for 8 weeks you should research alittle more. This site will help ya better than the book that told ya 8 weeks
Yes I see a lot of 12 weeks on here. seen recommendations for everything from 6 to 16.
Any idea of BF%? Any currents meds? Any food/drug allergies? You smoke/drink?
Can u post current diet?
What is your daily activity level?
Thanks Welcome to EROIDs...
22% by skin calipers
No meds, no allergies, no smoking
I do consume alcohol a couple of times a week
Diet is not planned out. I try to eat more protein and less carb than daily life provides. I usually end up around 2,000 calories and 150 grams of protein.
Activity is fairly good, I work construction and I am on my feet most of the day. I try to work out 3 or 4 days a week at home. Usually 20 minutes on a treadmill or bike followed by 45 minutes of weights.
weight has been around 180 for the last year but I have been able to make some obvious visual changes in fat to muscle proportion. I feel stagnated in change over the last couple months.
any help appreciated.
Based off ur stats:
-LBM 140 (James)
-1763.6 maintenance w/o activity (post your current lifting style)
PLAN:
-Recount calories and refigure macros.
-Compare recounted macros to an adjusted macros:
210/150-160/120 (pro/cho/fat)
*calories are contingent on activity level. If you focused on a daily caloric intake between maintenance and under 2700 cal/d with the macros posted above, along with a modified lifting regimen, i believe u could see some results and meet ur goals. I know u said u didnt want to be big...so its kind of an idea you can check out and use...
logged todays food, had not done that in a while
1792 calories
175/ 116/ 80
1747
179/ 140/ 77
1782
182/ 75/ 82
Practice diet last few days. How am I going to get over 2,000 calories? I am full all day and landing ~1,750
A better forum location to take this?
U say cholesterol high end but not out of range...u have break down on lipids? You can increase your good fats by 40g per day...that may help with lowering cholesterol..that and increasing cardio. As far as weight lifting, i would do 3-4 days per week only compound lifts...sqts...bp..dl...alternate regimens and weight and reps...
Thanks. I will try to move my exercise time to more focus on those lifts. I think I have been doing to much isolation, not sure if I am doing that because it is easier
Hell yeah....nice...thx..
You should reserve that. Weights then cardio.
Thanks
