hehe, , just did, but didn't know my body fat approximately, i think it's around 15r14, i'll measure it soon, so busy and stressed in these days to graduate, lost 5 kilos from that and my workout is a laugh. Now just goin' to gym 3 4 times a week, works only 1 muscle, around 1 hour. NO diets, NO supp's, NO restful sleeps, NO girls ,, , but havin' 300 gr of vodka every friday to kick out d stress.

PIN_CUSHION's picture

Well when you get around to graduating, get your diet in check and hit the gym hard and kick the vodka no good will come from that. Best of luck.

Thanx, that would be my pleasure

I average 4 lifting days and 2 additional cardio days and 1 off day. I don't have set days it changes weekly do to my work schedule. For instance, this week I lifted 4 days straight now I'll take off 3 days straight, except for 2 fasting cardio sessions. Next week, my schedule will basically be 2 on 2 off and so on. I spend about 1 1/2 hours per gym session.

vhman's picture

Great example on how variable his can be. We all have differnt goals and everyone reacts differently to workout programs.

oldhead73's picture

My motto is get it in where you can fit it in!!! Lol

vhman's picture

Mine is as long as it takes!

Nice!

PIN_CUSHION's picture

Wait, are we still talking workouts? lol...

Usually totals to roughly an hour. I workout 4-5 days a week hitting every body part at least once.

Roid Noid's picture

35 and 50 minutes, but my first 10-15 minutes of each muscle i only take 30 to 45 second breaks, so if its chest and tries im done with incline bench, flat bench, and working on cable flies. ill finish with slower heavier sets like dumbbell-press. then go right into the same set up, lots of cable work with little rest for tries, and finish up with slower heavier dumbbells and bar work......other days ill reverse it and go heavy first and then the faster sets. 5 on 2 off is what it normal comes out too but there is no rule here its really how i feel, tren cycles are sometimes more like 4 on 3 off cause I rarely get enough sleep when injecting IM, however last cycle with sub-q I was able to get the needed rest!

I hit usually a good hard hour and 15. I walk in feeling like I could take on any guy there, and walk out knowing any woman there could take me.

As you can see there are many ways to train and everbody responds differently. You just have to try some of the tried and true methods and see what you respond best to. Some will work for you and others won't. I don't respond to any type of low volume training, but German High Volume Training that is another story.

gymaholic's picture

German High Volume Training? ,,, thats sound interesting

i'm just getting some research guys, also its just a standard question with some very non-standard answers just DoctorDaz sayed :).

DoctorDaz's picture

I too love this thread. Standard question, with some very non-standard answers. My take? As you asked! I train a minimum of 1 hour, that means I spend near 2 hours in the gym, allowing for changing weights, waiting for shit, and getting yourself beautiful, and of course, the all important "anabolic selfie" that we all do ;-) Yes we do!!!

Rotate each muscle group, and drop sets myself, always, throw a few of them into a workout. And 8 to 12 reps, though, like someone mentioned already, I listen to myself, my own body, and go to fail when I can, and being spotted, as going to fail on your own, generally means you end up with a face full of dumbbell :-)

6 days a week, aiming for 5 to be fair.. But been 6 since I came back on.

kodiakGRRL's picture

we do a push alternated with a pull.. but we don't tie ourselves to a set days per week or time at the gym.. some weeks it is six days some weeks it is four days... some weeks five.. we go by feel and how hard we work our selves and how beat up we are. as for time in the gym if you are busting your ass then there is no reason to be there any longer than an hour.

weights MWF 45 min
cardio every Tues Thurs Sat Sun
I'll sneak in 15 min legs before cardio.

Dzeaz's picture

7 days a week. Maybe 6 rarely. 2 hours average. Hitting each muscle group twice a week. Works for me. Went from 160 to 225 in a year and a half

cmo25cent's picture

Bro I'm a hard gainer. Right now I'm on 4x a week no more than 45 mins. Don't let people tell you you gotta spend hours in the gym to get results because that's bullshit! It's how you use your time in the gym and what you eat.

well , , got the same hardgaining problem,

superman75's picture

I'm in Phil's camp, train each muscle group once a week, taxing and taking the muscle to failure, I aim for 8-12 reps but rarely count got a good feel for how much weight is needed to tax the muscle in that rep range. about 45min per workout, little longer on leg and back day. done properly it's almost impossible or shall I say counterproductive to train more, shit my legs are still barking at me from Sunday's onslaught. I look around the gym and about 95% or more of the people are just going thru the motions and just moving weight. the mind to muscle connection is very real and in this past year I've come along way by putting this together.

when cruising, yes i cruise at my age, i do 4-5 days actual workout time not including warmups, stretching or cardio is 45-60 mins. When cycling I rest when needed and worktime per session may go 60-75 mins.
I take a lot of time warming up.

Green Ranger's picture

I train 5 days a week for about 2 hr per session

extremediezel's picture

what works for me its high intensity, high volume 5-6 days a week 1hr,.. some people respond better with less, some people need more.. it depends on how your body responds...

Definitely, I do almost the same thing. I train about 3 MAYBE 4 times a week for 45 minutes; but those minutes I make count. Granted I don;t have the "big guy" physique but I like my slow and steady gains.

1 hour 5 days a week 3 on 1 off

when training off cycle it's low-volume very high intensity. No more than 45 minutes in the gym.

When training on cycle its high-volume high intensity to medium intensity. about an hour twice a day.

For both its usually 6 to 7 days a week in the gym.

Makwa's picture

Whether I am on or off cycle I still hit the gym 7days/wk. Five of those days are weight training and the other two are my cardio days. All my workouts are built around the progressive overload principle and they vary from 50min to almost 2hours depending on where I am on my workout rotation. I actually just started 2x/day training today also.

No matter how much time you spend in the gym, the key is to recognize when you are overtraining and back off a bit. Overtraining will kill your gains and you will actually regress if you continue to do it.

connorlm's picture

I usually go 5/6 days(usually more when on cycle because I just feel useless on rest days) with a fairly standard split, hitting some muscle groups twice in a week - I don't have set days of the week I basically just train that specific muscle group again when I'm ready to which tends to end up being 5/6 days after.

Workout duration for me varies on which muscle group I'm training but say for example if I just do chest it only takes me 30 mins or so, especially if I'm training by myself.

rolltide3's picture

U don't need steroids yet brother slow your roll

PIN_CUSHION's picture

May be best to post this in the Exercise forum. Gets some stats posted in your profile also, past experiences with gear, what your goals are, it'll help you get better answers on here. That's a broad question. For me I hit the gym the same whether on cycle or not. Amount of Weight and Volume will change while on, but you gotta watch and don't over train. You should already have a routine in place before cycling. Everyone is different there is no one regimen fits all.

gymaholic's picture

Yeah u r right, should add my stats on d pro, , , never used gear but doing lots of research, working out for last year n a half

rolltide3's picture

Your 23 brother no need to run a cycle your natural test is thru the roof the longer u wait and the better natural gains u achieve before starting steroids the better gains u will achieve. Eat big hit the weights hard no need to run a cycle. You have several more years of working out before u max out your natural gains. I hope u reconsider and go to the nutrition sections and learn how to eat
