VA Clinic for lab test

ad

Has anyone ever tried going to the VA to get blood work done while on a cycle? I am supposed to go for my annual check up, but have been worried about my results coming back with elevated levels. I am a disabled veteran at 50% rating, and don't want to risk any issues arising from my results.

Side note: I actually had blood work done to try and get on trt back in 2012. My levels were at 287 ng/dL If I remember correctly, which I thought was rather low. However, they told me it was within the VA's threshold of what is considered acceptable test levels.

Thanks everyone!

Yep I tell them I take juice. My rating is 100%... There are people out there that do much worse cocain, herion, etc and pop hot on a piss test. Trust me they won’t take it away.

You can walk into any blood/drug test lab and get it done for $40 or less, if you are in USA.
It will be only "Total and Free". You pay a little more if you want Estradiol too.

Dude don’t sweat your disability check. I get mine in prison like clockwork....
Hahahahaha

Hmm I never cycle before my VA labs. I am curious to know more.
I usually show up hot for Opates. I hope my HGH this round will help me kick it.

So I'm thinking about going on a cycle a big one! And then go In there after I'm done with my cycle and not do a post cycle therapy so my levels are fucked up to hell and back! So that way I'll get prescribed TRT fo free

Keep us posted, interested in the outcome, My local VA hasn't done a single thing to make me feel like our best interest is really the focus, good luck brother, I hope your local VA is one of the good ones

This is going to sound like a Unicorn story, but I have a buddy that is getting 200mg Watson Test Cyp/wk from the VA. I did a lot of reading on different forums to see how much luck veterans have had in regards to this, and from what I have read, it really depends on your particular VA clinic. I can tell you they are strict here where I am at. Back in 2012 I tried getting pain meds due to my L4/L5 being crushed in an IED several months before, and they simply wouldn't do it. I was raging mad, but in hind-site, I'm sure it was for the better. I have a lot of bros that are fucked from getting hooked on that shit. After a year of physical therapy, I have learned to manage the pain.

-Good luck though! I think a little test every week is the least they can do for the shit we had to put up with at times. haha

I've had blood work done at VA while on cycle, liver #s slightly elevated, they asked me to retest at my convenience so I went back for retest 4 weeks post cycle, everything was fine and they never even called back, I looked up the results online, I have found the VA here to be almost useless

I have had labs done while on cycle.. they freaked bc my liver enzymes were up and had to do a bunch more labs..

Did they ask you if you were on anything that might of caused your liver enzymes to spike? My clinic tends to be a bit nosy (which is their job, I suppose). I would shoot them straight about my AAS use, but with part of my disability being for PTSD, I'm worried they would freak out on me, thinking I'm going to turn in to a crazy person, which is bs of course. Thanks for your input.

Don't tell the va anything. Discretion is the key. Play dumb and say u don't know. As a nurse I see people all the time that get judged and treated based on their history and what people tell them. I also get va disability. Any questions just let me know have a good one

IrishJerk's picture

Yep it would probably be a good thread.
I got some good information too.
It is funny how many Vets don’t use the system because it is a pain.
Persistence and Patience is the key.
And a zinger to the OIG one in a while.

I went one time. They treated me like complete shit. Never went back. Have not had insurance in 2 years because I will not go there. 100 percent disabilty rating from va. I use a private doctor
